UFC 80 - Hey.. that was pretty good!

its been said a few other times in a few other threads, and ill say it in this one, only bj penn can beat bj penn, hes just too good, hes still getting better, his boxing was very impressive, what can sherk do against him really, he would have to get inside of his punches which can very well put sherks lights out, and if by some chance he took bj down, which is very hard to do, you have to deal with one of the best guards in all of mma, pretty daunting task...i mean even when you hear the announcers make comments they dont say oh, this guy has good boxing he can use that against him or he got good wrestiling, they say IF you can take him into the later rounds bj might get tired....what kinda game plan is that, when you just try your best to survive and hope to God he gets tired so you can take him out, theres basically nothing you as a fighter can do to beat bj, you need him to get tired

 

That is funny becuase saun sherk is a cardio machineso if any fighter at 155 could tire out penn it would be him

 

i guess we know his gameplan already huh, haha

 

I still think penn will beat him but sherk will be his hardest fight since gsp.

 

Good Post. I had mentioned this before..Peak performance..no one beats BJ..not GSP, Hughes, Renzo, ..

he does get tired no doubt about it, hopefully he keeps training and keeps improving his Cardio.

The guy obviously is not into training..anyone watched the preview..the guy was sleeping in a High altitude simulation tent!!! They showed BJ punching a bag and swimming. I was like wheres the training???

Sherk better hope BJ doesnt take him down..because if he did..Sherk will stay down..His BJJ is not even the caliber of Joe Daddy. Joe all the credit to him, his skills are what made him escape BJs mount...in itslf is a victory. Sherks not good off his back..Hughes and GSP has proven this

I really see a punishment for Sean..all this ****in talk from a guy caught doing steroids (in MMA where the objective is to hurt)...for the UFC to have this guy commentating is shameful...and good for the Brits, they booed the **** out of him...only in America where cheating is cheered.. The thing I hate about Sherk is this Im a nice guy but I do steroids..Where BJ what I love is he just says it like it is...but is respectful to good guys..ex..locker room scene with Joe

i agree, but its funny, the way bj dominates, how badly will he beat sherk...i mean even if he cleans him out, it could still be the hardest time he had beating the **** out of someone in a while

Great fights. BJ vs Sherk will be great. If BJ fights at his potential I think he will beat Sean handily. It's been said over and over, but the way BJ controls on the ground, and the way he uses his legs, is nothing short of extraordinary.

You know what sucks? I didn't get to watch any of the fights tonight. Looks like it was pretty awesome though.

 

it was...first 3 fights guys were knocked out cold...and the rest were great ....not one real snooze fest the whole card....it was better then expected.
