one of GSP's take downs in that fight he picked up BJ clean off his feet and threw him down..that definatly deserves points and being on top is the superior position....I'm not saying you should get alot of points but a superior position means your controlling the fight.

I think for BJ to win against GSP he needs to keep it standing. GSP has the better form but BJ has the better striking and heavier hands.

BJ has to stuff or avoid any takedowns...Once GSP is on top he will be next to impossible to sub or keep off.

BJ thinks hes the best because he believes:

    No one can hurt him
    He can hurt anybody
And he has the best BJJ in MMA

This is why he thinks he is God. I mean look at Joes face in the post fight forget the cut..He looked like he went thru a shredder

    You dispute that?
I see no evidence to say otherwise, if a 205er can't hurt him than who can outside a heavyweight?

I don't think BJ thinks that and even if he did he wouldn't be far off, I can only think of two or three fighters truly better than him at BJJ in MMA and thats pure BJJ not the MMA version.

    No not at all..
Like you said, Ive never seen BJ hurt..His facial skin is thick he just never bruise. FYI the Machida fight was at Heavy so Machida was at least 225 in that fight.

He thinks he has the best BJJ in MMA in the context that hes got a scary stand up to go with it.

Jacare, Gracie and Garcia has better pure BJJ
but lets put it this way BJ will dismantle them under MMA rules

Or right  I thought you were implying you don't believe those statements.

It is what it is..Its on TV we can see everything...

I saw Hughes pummeling his face defenseless but he wasnt even close to tapping...after an hour his face was unmarked

Its impossible to deny BJ as a fighter..whether you like him or not...

Just because of his mystique, the book might contain some nuggets of info

Well, I don't train, I don't want to come across as a walt
I think BJ is great, he's awesome, I've felt that since I first saw him beating Hughes.
Beat Sherk defend the belt 4-5 times and he should be a lock for the HoF.

On another topic, I think BJ is half Korean.....maybe thats what gives him thick skin idk.

To say that "nobody can hurt BJ" is an exageration, of course he can be hurt, to say otherwise is to throw the basic laws of physics and human anatomy out the window. That being said, it would take a very good shot.

I do think that if he could keep the fight standing, or even better if he could get top position somehow on GSP he stands a good chance of winning.

Of course he can get hurt..I just havent seen him...

talk about biology..his cranium is large along with a thick skin...on top of that the ****in guys elusive...His legs are like rubber..you cant kick his legs effectively because he never firmly plants

Honestly if he gets on top of GSP..I can see GSP escaping somehow just by pure athleticism. But I say this if BJ connects flush standing its sleepy time for GSP

Well that could happen to anybody, I just don't see him getting to GSP, he's not strong enough to take Goerge off his feet for a takedown, If Kos and Hughes couldn't even come close I don't see B.j. getting a takedown...he tried in the first fight but was unsuccessfull. The standup game was very close and Goerges face was bloodied because of a thumb under his eye and an uppercut that barely grazed his nose but did enough to to make it bleed. Goerge is alot more confident now especially after giving Hughes 2 brutal beatings after that fight. GSP. UD

I agree that BJ has no shot taking GSP down..and if somehow GSP slips..BJ needs a quick submission..

His only chance is standing up..As a matter of fact I dont see GSP standing with BJ..he'll try to take him down right away.

Matt is done man..he couldnt do **** against lytle. Seriously GSP has been wrecking people way way before Hughes 2 and 3. From Sherk to Trigg to Mayhem he has been steamrolling people ever since his fist fight with Hughes..

For some reason when he fought Penn..he was a bit derailed...(I wonder why?) the he went back on to steamrolling people again except of course for Serra. People are under the illusion that this is a new and improve GSP..Its not.. he was just as impressive 2 years ago when he was mowing the division on the way to the Hughes rematch

If anything his standup has declined or he is at least alot more timid mentally, compared to his pre-Serra version. (In the striking department)

I wanna see BJ to beat someone from top competition before admitting his greatness.

Then again, there's not many people out there left for him to beat 155... who are not steroid freaks.

Takanori Gomi perhaps? Matt Serra? Matt Hughes? Caol Uno? Jens Pulver?
    Not great enough for you?

Thats because he has faced a few now (Penn, Serra) who really has some real striking/boxing techniques that can look past his intimidating form.

Furthermore, his power is not great..and Serra has proven that he can be Knocked out..that is huge!

But remember the Sherk and the Trigg fight especially..Ill be honest Ive nevr seen GSP better.

GSP will be relying more on his wrestling going forward which isnt a bad thing short term
