UFC 90 - Anderson Silva vs Patrick Cote = main event

Cote is a good fighter. His stand up game is very solid. This fight should make for a good highlight reel moment for Silva. I'm a bit disappointed that this is the main event. I hope the rest of the card is stacked.

Franklin was able to land on Silva a couple of punch in his second bout vs Silva..
I mean, Franklin throw a lot of punch with his elbow out sometime, that's not very good punch technique..Cote throw good straight punch, if Franklin can land on Silva, Cote can and he do have better power than Franklin due to his better technique in my opinion..Cote just need to avoid the knee in the clinch, and not make stupid mistake like Irvin in throwing sloppy lazy kick, and Cote have a real chance to win this yes

 

Silva will murder Cote. Bisping would stand a better chance because he can kickbox and knows what to do in a clinch.

 

You gotta be kidding me. cote is going to get KO'ed 1st round. Silva has the best stand on in UFC right now period.

 

Cote earned his shot, but Silva will likely make pretty quick work of him. Cote's got a good right hand, but he doesn't have the tools on his feet to hang with Mr. Spider.

 

I would bet my car on the fact Cote make it through the second round

Funny you mentioned that Silva has finished everyone before the 2nd. That's a tough bet. Usually Silva feels out his opponet for a weakness then jumps on it.

I think Okami has more chance of lasting with Silva, but both will lose to him.

 

Lets be real i loved it when he KO`ed Kendall Grove, and he even got a decision over the slippery Ricardo Alemida. But Silva is an entirely diffrent animal. This is his to win via standup or on the mat. Silva inside of 1 round.

 

Your judgement on fights is as good as the lawler and smith fight. You dont know ****. If cote is as good as you say he is. He would be champ. There is a reason why he isn't and silva is.

 

Hendo or Lindland COULD smother a UD out of Silva at 185, dont see anyone else with a real chance.

 

not sure if Lindland could do it now as he's getting older and been inactive,but a few years ago he would have had a great shot.Strong,intense,physically powerful with a great ground game.Despite the size difference he fought more impressivly against Fedor than anyone else over the last four years.
i cant see anyone besting Silva in the middle division standing.its gonna take someone with a truly exeptional ground game like a Jacare.If Pallhares can get past Henderson,then he may have enough upside to eventually present a challenge.Arguably the most devastating puncher in the UFC p4p at the momement is Luis Cane.he gets a chance to showcase his skills in one of the upcoming ufc's against Soku and if he knocks him out in brutal fasion which i think he will then he's another one to keep an eye on.The great thing is the UFC has enough young talent who with more experience and seasoning could eventually dethrone Silvas dominence.
