great round alves 10 - 9

koscheck looks good too and rocked him slightly

 

close second round alves lands some nice leg kicks

Alves looking damn good thus far winning the first two rounds. He may be the only legitimate challenge to GSP. Brutish strength as well. He's improved with each fight, especially since his loss to Fitch.

 

I wanna see Alves move up to 185 and fight Silva.

 

Interesting how all these wrestlers, with touted takedown ability don't use it when it could help them most. I'm very glad I had no money to bet, I figured Kos would want to dominate this one on the ground and wear Alvez out down there.

 

I'd rather see Alvez and Penn.

 

He tried quite a few times. He was simply unable to get him there. Alves is the better fighter.

 

He didn't shoot early. He stood with Alves and traded with him. Alves worked leg kicks in and took his shooting ability away. I've seen the type of shoots Koscheck is capable of, and that simply wasn't what I have seen in the past.
