UFC 90: Silva vs. Côté - Round by Round

Horrible Crowd.

 

NOT one of my favorite performances thus far from Silva, even though he's winning clearly. He's usually all business.

 

What an anti-climactic main event.

 

Stellar Finish.

 

I agree Anderson should be ashamed of himself,he was acting like a total clown.

 

That fight was horrible, 95 % dancing & bullshiting and 5 % actual fighting. And and a injury ending.

They fought 2 rounds and nothing happend besides Silva landed one good kick, that is ****ing it. I am not even sure what the scoring would of been when nothing is happening. Neither man deserved to win either round.

 

Hey let's not over react about Silva every champion has a bad day at the office, even though Silva landed some great kicks and punches it was clear he was coasting and to be honest i don't blame him, is he really gonna be motivated to fight someone like Cote?, i mean even in the two rounds tonight (which he probably won) it was evident that the difference in class was huge and that was just personified by Cote nearly throwing a party because he made it past the second round, i didn't like Silva's dancing but as i said i don't think he was inspired tonight at all, i hope they don't have a rematch because imo it's a waste of time and if they do let's hope it comes very soon so Anderson can get him out of the way and concentrate on the guys at 205 who can give him a proper challenge (if that's possible ) and get him focused.

It didn't seem like he was really fighting Cote.

Sure, Anderson always takes the first 90 seconds off to study his opponent. And yes, Silva is a counter striker, so he doesn't lead often. But he literally turned his back to Cote and ran at one point. He barely looked like he wanted to fight at all, and he struck like 30 poses. The offering of his hand made him look like a jackass.

Cote may not be on Silva's level, but there is no reason for Silva to treat the fight like a sparring session or an exhibition. It is for the UFC middleweight championship and he should take it seriously.

I am a huge Silva fan, but man, this was the worst fight I've ever seen him in by far.

 

Silva wasn't doing anything. He was waiting to counter, but didn't do any countering. It was dreadful.

 

Just generally being a twat. Bowing every 3 seconds, offering to help Cote up and patronising the **** out of him. He did this to Franklinn as well, I'm glad ppl are noticing.
