If Machida doesn't get a title shot there is no justice. I'd leave the UFC if I was him if they don't give him one. I like Machida's style, did he even get hit by Silva? Scorpian why would you stand there to get hit when you can avoid? Just to please you? Come on the objective in a fight is to hit and NOT get hit.
I love how slick he is, and how he uses technique to beat people. I appreciated him when he outworked people for decisions. When he can KTFO a 14-0 fighter, I appreciate him even more. Plus, he's a cool guy. I like his willingness to speak English, even though he's clearly not perfectly fluent.
I'm torn on this next fight. I think seeing BJ with two belts would be awesome...but he's an arrogant little *****... Argh. I guess I'll be happy either way, as long as it's an awesome fight.
Totally. Some boxing fans here who get excited watching cerebral and elusive boxers like Whitaker, BHop and Floyd should like Machida's style of fighting. I'm surprised so many people don't like watching him. BJ Penn's ring entrance now...
Machida definately deserves a title shot after that KO. If he doesn't then Dana needs a slap. Also, who said Machida was boring?
I love the atmosphere in that building. Simply awesome. These two guys are at the top of their games and divisions right now. They're probably the two brightest stars and most well-known guys in the UFC. This is the kind of fight that happens once a decade. They weren't where they are now during their first fight. The stars have aligned tonight. Enjoy it boys!
**** it my provider aint showing ufc:cus glad to hear machida won. But dont expect dana to jump out of his seat to offer the guy a title shot. Trust me... he'll hold the guy out for as long as he can.
