Silva is going to have to finish these type of opponents. I like Silva but there is absolutely no way you can put him #1, #2 of the P4P MMA rankings.

I agree, im never really disappointed.

However, for the UFC not only was the main event sub par mostly because of Leites inability to fight but the undercard and rest of the main card was brutal.

Performance don't matter. As far as he got a win he still ranked 1 p4p.

Silva's clearly at least P4P#2. So he didnt finish his prey in ruthless killer fashion. He still dominated every moment of every round. No one can get anywhere near the guy. And on the frew times they do, even top ground guys like Lettuce and Henderson can do absoliutely nothing.

Anderson's already proved if you attack him you end up brutally knocked out. Tonight he showed if you try and fight him on the back foot, your getting completely dominated.

    He's the complete fighter

Although I believe in Silvas skills, you still need to perform at the highest level against a punching bag like Leites.

****in Kampmann tooled Leites. KAmpmann!!! the welterweight

His inability to jump into someones guard in fear of getting submitted is a glaring weakness.

GSP, Fedor and Penn would be humping Leites if he offered top position, Ithey wouldnt ****in care how good he is at jj

I say Fedor and Silva/GSP with Lyoto 4th

I agree. Fedor has to be No. 1 because he fights hungry every fight. Silva looked bored to death and like he doesn't give a flying **** anymore. He just toys around with seriously out-classed opponents. He needs to get put in the cage with someone that puts that fire back in his belly. He really seems to be losing motivation now...and that's not something I've ever seen from Fedor. Sometimes a loss is the best thing that can happen to a fighter...

Big Silva fan myself but i can't deny i wasn't inspired by the fight at all, it seems to me Silva is turning into the Mayweather of MMA, skill wise he's miles ahead of the everyone else pound for pound and he knows it, so he can either explode into action like he did against Franklin or he can just cruise to victory without even getting a slap like he did tonight, when you are that good you can dictate the fight any way you want and i guess you can't blame the man for taking the easy route every now and then, the man has a family and a UFC record to think about so he obviously wasn't gonna go in with foolish abandonment, one thing that impressed me though was his takedown defence and his ground game once again, it's looking flawless right now,

On Sherdog people have suggested "he's scared of the ground game" but that's clearly bull, he was in Lettuce's half guard towards the end and was hitting him with some shots but didn't seem that bothered about finishing the job, if he was behind by the third round though i bet we would have seen the explosive Silva tonight, he lost the first round against Henderson and then came out like a mad man and subbed him on the ground so we all know he's not just a counter puncher, the man just needs real competition, how many of GSP and Fedor's opponants recently have turned up and don't want to fight like what's happened to Silva in his last two fights?, i can't think of any.

Well, I don't know about not wanting to hurt Leites. He poked him in the eye which is always very dangerous and deliberately targeted his kneecaps. He also struck to Leites legs with his fists; basically he was trying everything to try and hurt and distract his opponent without risking being taken down by a master jits guy. He was trying to avoid the ground game and possible submission by just slowly battering Leites from distance and Leites didn't attack so counterpunching opportunities were rare.

Who the hell had him at #1. Nobody should.

In MMA, Fedor is king. Hes undefeated and he finishes opponents. And much higher calibre opponents than Leites and Cote.

Yep, I agree. Machida has to be up there as well. Its ashame because I never really see him among the top P4P'ers in MMA.

Speaking of Kampmann, I think he can be a very good welterweight.

By your own logic, Fedor still is #1, he still winning. Fedor is so far ahead of everyone that I don't think it is really debatable.

Fedor has been winning forever. Therefore, he's been p4p #1 forever.

The first time I agree with you for a long time. It was disgusting. You could bring Miguel Torres from those lower category vs Leites, and he would jump into that guard eye closed because he is one mother****er hundry. Silva seem to not care anymore. Let him fight RJJ, let him be knocked out.
