Yeah, that Thai clinch was just brutal. It seemed like he was too small and weak to use it on Griffin, which is odd. He was able to destroy a big, tough guy like Rampage, yet he looked physically frail up against Griffin. I'm not sure what it was that fight, but he looked like a shell. I still think it had to do with him coming off the roids and not being able to deal with it.
Was Shogun actually caught on roids? Or is it one of these ones where he has looked **** out of Pride and people have decided themselves?
More speculation than anything. But it does explain his gassing problem because roids help with cardio.
Yeah I can definitely see him being one of the guys who took advantage of Japan's lax drug testing. Also considering how aggressive those Chute Boxe lads were. They hated everyone and got in more than one scuffle outside the ring.
It was somebody like you, in the 'Anderson SIlva could whup all the heaveyweights' thread Yes, Im sure it was you!
Stout and Wiman gave it their all. That was a great little MMA fight. Stout had the sharper kickboxing skills - yet Wiman was slinging the harder punches - going for the knock out every time. Winamn mixed in his takedowns and submission attempts to offset Stout's striking superiority. Stout hurt Wiman to the body and looked to almost stop him. Wiman came back in the third round to finally steamroll Stout a bit - but Stout had put enough rounds in the bank early to get the nod. That was good.
They just interviewed Cung - about the new movie Fighting - on the UFC. Nothing announced - but Cung wouldn't be on a UFC show at all if they weren't working on something to get him there.
