Supply? Who said anything about supply? Who gives a **** what Dana and Lorenzo do? They do not compete, it is just a cosmetic thing for them and harms no one but themselves. And it is a loophole that does not just apply to the UFC. This is a hot topic because of Lance Armstrong so Dana has talked big to nip these kind of questions in the bud. He is a business man and the face of the UFC, you seem to think he should be some role model of virtue. He is dealing with the media here, this is politics, son.

Don't get me wrong I won't even try to defend my point, I know it's a completly stupid opinion, but everytime I see GSP squeeze at 170, or AS get at 185 when both guy could easily fight at 185(GSP) and 205(AS).

so many good fight are wasted because of the weight when there isn't really that much of a difference...

I've got to admit you are right on that one, but it's the USA we are talking about, the land of "give me some money and I'll change all the law/regulation you want" so it's not like he can't do nothing.

From what I can understand anything other then 1:1 is cheating...that simple.

The 6:1 exists in Nevada because of boxing, so he can't change that.

This has nothing to do with Armstrong. The UFC has had a hormone/PED abuse problem long before the Lance Armstrong issue raised its head. The issue is getting more press in sports media circles because of the UFCs brand name recognition as the primary face of MMA, as well as the endemic use that is growing uncontrollable among its employee's.
And again you've missed the point. I don't think for a minute Dana is a paragon of virtue. The mans a salesman who will say whatever he likes. But that's clearly not going to wash well with his employee's when he/Zuffa have WILLFULLY sanctioned the misuse of hormones be it legal or illegal. When the boss is on them that sets a very bad precedent where there's bound to be some fallout or blow back. Dana knows he has to be seen to be doing something. But nothing in all the years Zuffa has owned the UFC has ever been done.
And if you're not aware that the supply of hormones is illegal and thus unlawful then there's no discussion to be had here.

Suuuure he can't.. yet he can 'buy' commissioners... You think Marc Ratners working for the Zuffa for altruistic reasons? The fact Lorenzo was a member of the commission once obviously doesn't help.....oh wait...

What? You're going to have to explain that one as I have no idea what your point is.

Where did I say I was unaware the supply of hormones is illegal? Creating straw man arguments and deliberately misinterpreting points made by others is an admission of defeat in a argument. Anyone reading this can see that you are blinded by your own personal anti Zuffa agenda and are making yourself look a fool.

This is not a point scoring exercise and neither is it a strawman argument. I stated an empirical fact that is backed by the laws of almost every country on this planet.
If you want to claim a victory here knock yourself out as i don't really care. But you'd have to be a complete idiot to not be able to see the hypocrisy of the UFC who have willfully and deliberately flouted the law, by allowing the use of loopholes for their fighters. Only to now renege on that because Dana wants to get tough because the media says so? If you think that makes sense then you really shouldn't be watching this sport.
And claiming an anti-UFC agenda isn't going to obfuscate the fact that you clearly don't understand what the issue is here.

Breaking from the athletic commission and allowing juice so The UFC goes back to being allowed in a handful of States and Fox pulling out or actually getting tough and cutting any fighter that has used any kind of hormone treatment and the UFC losing millions overnight makes less sense though, doesn't it. That is the point. Either say something you don't mean to the press or **** your own product up. It's a no brainer.

Remember this? Dana said this 6 months ago or so. He also claimed that the athletic commissions were the Gold Standard for testing. But the commissions sanction TRT as does the UFC. The impact of doing something would obviously affect their business. So the best foot forward for compliance is as BJ suggests is to use WADA. Or as Dr Benjamin says ban TRT outright.
Are we really expected to believe that Dana is purposefully going to harm his business by banning fighters? Or will he continue to let them cycle on and off and just feed the press some BS? How long realistically do you think he can get away with that....

Mmm....So his change of thought on TRT has nothing to do with looking good in front of the NYSAC or maybe even Vitor sparking out Bisping.

Doesn't change the fact Nevada is in the U.S.A, so people from the athletic commission can be bought and rule can change....

My point still stand, if he really wanted to do something about this he could, but he doesn't want to because most of his fighter are on gear or were gear user like you said previously.

That's why I said either STFU or do something, but this pathetic PR attempt is just that, a pathetic PR attempt

Why will they not be able to walk? Or is that more a point your trying to make?

When you look at Randy Couture he seems fine, reckon he was on TRT

Hey Scurla thing is for a person who dosent know much about it, how come someone like Overeem at 262 looks like a beast on PEDS whilst someone like Dan Henderson is a softer looking 203...or Belfort looks a beast on them especially in the Bisbing fight
