Does he stand a chance? http://www.fightsaga.com/news/item/2254-Junior-dos-Santos-UFC-s-Champ-vs-the-Klitchkos-in-Boxing
Sorry at what point in that interview does he say he could beat the Klitschkos? But no chance in hell does he ever win an Olympic medal...
Junior dos Santos, UFC's heavyweight champion and top-rated mixed martial artist in the same division, believes he'd be ready for a ring battle against either of the*Klitchkos after only three months of training. & When asked if he could hang with the Klitschko brothers in the ring, dos Santos replied, "Give me three months of preparation and I could fight with anyone in the world... boxing or MMA."*:good
Yes, he says "Give me three months of preparation and I could fight with anyone in the world... boxing or MMA." Where does he say he could beat Wlad or Vitali? Obviously he doesn't think he could beat them, when asked that question he avoided it and replied with that instead. That's just typical fighter talk. :good
Maybe if you like brutal KOs I love JDS and all but he should stick to MMA, his boxing is great for MMA but in boxing he'd not fair so well.
To be honest, JDS is probably a better boxer than the majority of the guys the Klitschko's have faced (what a sorry statement that is) That being said, he would almost certainly lose.
Wlad won't lose another fight until he's about 100 years old. He could be champion for another decade if he wanted to be. He's that far ahead it's ridiculous. Probably one of the most dominant sportsmen of all time.
Truth is, there's nobody around who poses a serious threat to Wlad. In a couple of years maybe Price and/or Fury because they're both big strong lads and in Price's case there's some real talent and power as well. Apart from that... not so much. Wlad sleeps easy.
I'm being deadly serious, i would honestly pick JDS in a boxing match over say, Manuel Charr for example. As i said though, it is highly likely that he loses badly to both Wlad & Vitali.
Deadly serious. Unbeaten in the best part of a decade, and won everything else since then with ridiculous ease, aside from being decked x3 by Peter. Aside from changing the rules, how the hell is he ever going to lose again? He's in a very weak era granted, where other fighters can make a living fighting bums rather than testing themselves, but still..... what he's done would be very hard to accomplish.
