http://www.ufc.com/fighter/Josh-Barnett Barnett tweets that it doesn't mean he's signed with the company. And indeed, he's a former UFC champ, so there's reason for him to be there anyway. But he's been a former UFC champ for years, and never had a profile. So the timing is interesting. :smoke :hat
didn't dana say he would never let him back to the UFC? I remember he got caught on roids and it lead to the end of Affliction. Dana knows he's bad for the business and is careless.
Yeah. It was a shutout. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
Great stuff Rob And someone the other day was saying he doesnt belong with Cain, Reem and dos Santos :tired
Try and watch the fight, its one of the best fights of last year. Cormier completely owned Barnett in probably one of the most one sided losses of Barnetts career. Cormier is the real deal.
Apart from Josh NOT being responsible for Afflictions demise, which is a ridiculous rumour started by UFC joyboys, Dana's word means nothing and is wholly irrelevant. Almost the entire UFC stable is on steroids past and present. The owners on them. The boss is on them etc. So Josh has been caught 3 times. Big deal. Dana's not stupid. He's a businessmen. And business takes preference over PRIDE (no pun intended). Josh NEEDS to be in the UFC. Josh knows it and so does Dana.
But what can he offer at this point? He's just been demolished by a guy who's gonna be in the UFC real soon
Josh still has plenty to offer. He's a great scalp for any heavy on his way up the ranks. I don't think anyone could have predicted what Dan did to him. No one expected a catch wrestler with some of the best subs and wrestling in the history of the sport, to get completed manhandled and owned on the mat at his own game. So i wouldnt be too quick to write him off yet. Josh certainly has enough left to be a top 10 UFC heavyweight. He's never been in any serious wars or suffered any career injurys and he has a ton of experience.
