No surprise, the writting was on the wall, he shouldn't of showed up and wasted alot of peoples time.

  2. I agree. And to have the balls to disrespect Quarry's corner afterwards...:-(

I think Lutter should think twice about returning as well. After not making weight against Silva and another lack-luster performance against Franklin, in which he couldn't last 2 rounds...he needs to look for other work.

Too funny. I almost feel bad for the guy, but he didn't even show up to fight. If he wanted out that badly, he should have just tapped out from a leg kick :rofl

I like how he was talking about how he deserved a rematch with Silva, and how he had Silva in trouble, and yada yada. Then he ran out gas in five minutes and got his ass handed to him.

I dunno what Starnes was thinking. I mean going into the 3rd round didnt his corner tell him to do SOMETHING??? I kinda feel bad for the guy.

Starnes isnt a bad fighter.. i mean he has wins over Leben and Macdonald. He was beating Belcher until that cut.. and that was a HELL of a fight. One bad performance and he gets the boot?

Some people are saying it was the last fight on his contract anyway, so I guess it's not quite as newsworthy. Sounds like Dana just wants to end it on his terms though, so he has to have Donald Trump moment and yell, "You're CUT!" But regardless of why he was running around like a douche, Starnes was still a douche.

Some people are also saying he was running as a protest to the UFC not covering his medical expenses from his last fight.

It sounds very plausible to me. Honestly, how else could that have happened? It's not as if he got hurt bad in the begining and began running because of that...

    Co-sign.

Yeah, in that fight I don't really credit Franklin with a win but I do credit Lutter with a loss.

Great form of protest. Now he is pretty much blacklisted from MMA.

It's either the medical thing, or he threw the fight. Either way, something had to change. It's not like this is something that was a habit for him.

Whats the big deal.. Ive seen worse fights in the UFC than that one. Starnes was hurt by Quarry and hes got no heart to fight back. B level skills at best. Hes out of UFC rightly so but its not the first time a fight was this boring. Arlovski/Sylvia 3 was worse
