I have EA MMA and it's an awesome game. i heard it's better than the ufc game. I don't have fight night.
ea mma no doubt they have an awesome online community and live broadcasting events. i got fnc on the 360. wow does it suck donkey dick compare to the ps3 version. my record http://www.easports.com/mma/contender/id/230963657/name/OuterDrake/platform/PS3
i've done some practicing on UFC and it looks like MMA is too complicated. i always thought it would be impossible to do. early fight nights had me thinking they hadnt got boxing right and MMA would be impossible. only left and right punch, that ain't right surely. it simply can't handle how complicated MMA is nor can you choose specifically what you want to do. am i wrong?
I had to do the practice sessions to really learn the moves. The submissions are the hardest. It's dam near impossible to sub anyone without wrenching your joystick off.
You on about CAF Achillies? Ive had it since it came out and dont think Ive completed 1 submission. G'n'P is easier
I was a believer in UFC Undisputed but after I picked up EA SPorts MMA I have to say that I think it's the better game. In Undisputed the fighters all fight the same way whereas in EA SPorts MMA they are more personalized and fight like the actual fighters. I really dig it!
Since I have all three games; Undisputed, EA MMA and Fight Night I think it is worth mentioning that Fight Night and EA MMA use the same fighting system so if you're familiar with one - the other will come naturally. It's really cool.
If you're a ******, then it is. I don't find the game complicated one bit, but that's because I played Fight Night for years and understood the base of it, the shoulder and trigger buttons are essentially addons for kicks, blocks, feints, etc. The ground game is quite simple too and keeps it down to three buttons; a, b and x (or x, square and circle) a to transition, b to stop an opponent and x to attempt a submission, pretty straightforward. The trick with submissions is to pace yourself and not just hammer the x button or waggle the analog around like madman, just find the spot which'll show up as a colour then try to go the way you think it's gonna go. I admit it's a pretty difficult system and you'll get choked out a lot online and it's very hard to choke a cpu out on hard or legacy but it's good when you get an understanding of it. The biggest problem with the game for me is getting up when your opponent grounds you online, especially if they have a good position like side control and mount. Unless you're a very advanced player, you won't have a clue what to do and have no chance of getting out, the counter window is too great, and too small for you.
If you like to roll on the ground like a homosexual get the UFC. If you like science and the art of boxing get Fight Night.
Fight Night Champion is great but after a while the career mode stalls badly. EA MMA i thought was awesome the submissions were simple not carpal tunnel syndrome like in UFC and EA MMA career mode was great. I liked how you did different training camps around the world. UFC Undisputed 3 that comes out soon does look great though. Ive heard that the submission game has been revamped and you can break your leg checking a low kick.
