Ledet's goofy smug smile was literally wiped off his face.

Rakic really impressed me. Far more than Anderson or Smith(especially) who just beat up on old talent in their way out. Rakic showed a complete game and has a great engine.

Whilst I do agree with you, apart from DC, Gus and the roided Jones who will probably be out for years who else is relevant at 205 ? Smith has a shot against anyone else imo.

Even if true that speaks to the divisions lack of quality more than it does Smith's talent. I dont think an Evans on a 4 fight skid or a 37 year old Shogun who's pretty much a part time fighter at this point are great testimonials to his talent. I'd make Latifi, OSP, Blachowitz, Rakic, Cirkanov, Reyes, Anderson Oezdemir big favorites of him as well..
And I wouldn't confidently pick him to beat any of the following in Manuwa, Tyson Pedro, Rountree, Saki, Cummins, Teixeira, Jordan Johnson, Ion Cutelaba, Cannonier, Villante, Alvey, Antigulov etc. Over them in fact I'd make several of them favorites. I've been following Smith since his Strikeforce days and hes still the same glass cannon he was years ago... Has just had a lucky break with matchmaking against old talent lately. Thiago Santos showed that he's still the same fragile fighter who can't beat top guys with any real consistency.
