iam set on flipping thru the pavlik/martinez fight (MARAVILLIA!) and the strickforce card. i read that the co main event on the ufc card is swick-serra....man they better go harder then that to compete with hendo-shields/mousasi-king mo/aoki-melendez.

rumor has it the headlining fight would be toney-kimbo, i dont think it could happen in so little time but that is one fight that would force me to flip through 3 channels and that headline would captivate the casuals....man i hope the ufc card sucks so i can just stick to switching between pav/strickforce.

Knowing the UFC it will be a replay of Shamrock-Ortiz. Or something equally lame.

Swick-Serra ? I like Swick but why is he getting another co main event ? Hardy whooped him then Thiago damn near killed the guy.

Thats good news then agian I like Swick but a co-main event should not be in his future right now. I think the fight to make is Serra vs Paulo Thiago. You get Serra a former Welterweight Champion, hes coming off a spectacular win, has KO power and excellent BJJ skills agianst a guy in Thiago who also has the some skills and power and right now with wins over guys like Swick and Josh Koscheck may be 1 more strong win away from a shot at the title. I understand they want Kimbo on the card, he is a draw but if he main events im not watching. Ive heard rumors of Wanderlei vs Akiyama I think that along with Serra-Thiago is a good double main event for a free card. If not hell Rich Franklin needs a fight get him in there with Thiago Silva. Both are well known and credible fighters that are considered to be very exicting.

The UFC should care less about countering Strikeforce, and more about stacking their own cards.

My question is if you dont consider Strikeforce legit competition then why feel the need to counter it with your own live show ?

I doubt Wanderlei will be on a free card..He is a PPV Main Event-Co Main Eventer..

I actually wouldnt mind seeing Cro cop Headline the card..He didnt work up much of a sweat in the last bout.I would put him up against Rothwell seeing he should be over is illness by now..

The SF CBS card has 3 quality fights so far. They will be hard to beat.

Depends on what you mean by hard to beat. Yes they are quality fights, but if we are being honest the fighters involved are not the biggest draws. I'm sure the UFC have something decent lined up. Lots of rumours going around, we should have a better idea of who will be on this card within the next few days.

Cro Cop appears headed to a June fight with Pat Berry on the Liddell-Ortiz III undercard. Wanderlei would fight on a free card he was all set to fight Brandon Vera on that Fight Night that countered the first Affliction event then he decided he didnt have enough time to properly prepare.

Quality fighters. Not huge draws but it's on free tv. Any fan thinking of shelling out PPV figures should surely be hardcore enough to respect the fighters on the SF bill.

Depends who UFC puts them up against. If they put Brock on a card, they may have lost already.
