    Gift decision for Simpson there.

Maybe they gave him it on sheer toughness.

Quite a reversal of fortune in that fight. Looked like Escudero was controlling the exchanges on the feet - but Dunham's jiujitsu shone through. He should have tapped sooner. Aoki just had to break a guy's arm barely a week ago. Fighters should always respect the technique.

And that's why you should tap. In the end, he was submitted anyway, but now he will likely be on the shelf for awhile nursing injury.

Annoyed about Escudero, I'm a fan and he'll be out for a while now.

Not to mention it ****ed up my Sadollah-Simpson-Escudero parlay.

Diaz and Maynard have some legitimate bad blood. This should be a good fight. This sucks because I want to watch Mike Tyson on RAW at the same time.

I felt that Maynard won every round. The 3rd round was definitely Diaz's best round... but I thought Maynard stole it at the end by hurting him, and having Diaz very sloppy at the finish.

I had Maynard winning two rounds to one. What was the final result? (I left before the decision).

One judge had it 29-28 Diaz... one had it 30-27 Maynard... third had it 29-28 Maynard. The Bully by SD.

Very different scores but I can understand them all. The only very clear round I think was Rd 2 for Maynard.

Maynard clearly won round 1 as well, to be honest. So many judges score blood. Gray had that early little cut on a grazing accidental elbow, and it was really the only time that Diaz really touched his face that round. Gray was really schooling Nate for those first 2 rounds. He looked like he started getting a little too relaxed and sloppy in the 3rd, until he rocked Diaz pretty bad towards the end of the round. When he had Diaz falling around hurt at the end... he should have lifted him and slammed him with about 15 seconds left and just hammered away. Wouldn't have been enough time for a rocked Diaz to pull off a crazy submission.

Well, the right guy won anyways.

I thought Maynard won - but man was that an ugly fight. Maynard should have bullied him more. His performance didn't whet my appetite to see him challenge BJ Penn any time soon.

When is Maynard going to step up and go for finishes ? He had Diaz hurt twice and still played his counter game. Good luck trying that vs BJ, I cant think of any title fight ive been so disintrested in seeing.

I thought Diaz won, ableit in a very sloppy and forgettable affair. The commentary was laughably biased toward Maynard. He'd land a couple of crisp right hands that had hardly any effect and they'd swing from his nuts the rest of the round, despite the fact that Diaz was outlanding him 2 or 3 punches to 1.

We must be watching the same fight cuz thats how I felt. These other fools must be a randy fan because Maynerd only won cuz he had randy at his corner and thats like the godfather of MMA. Its cool tho BJ is gonna break this lil muscle mans face. Sooner or later the truth will come out and BJ dont play around. I say TKO round 2 for BJ.
