    The thing is, in most sports nobody would bat an eyelid at an elite 23 year old. Just look at football or tennis. MMA is very unusual in that fighters can debut in their late twenties and even early thirties and still hope to compete at the highest level. Mainly applies to guys who already have an excellent record in wrestling or another individual discipline, but it's still strange for sports as a whole.

    When we get fighters who have been training in MMA since childhood, we are going to see some crazy ****.
