Pathetic. Utterly pathetic. "Irreparable damage?" "Significant harm?" Please.

Randy has no chance to win this case though, he signed the contract, you can't just opt out and leave because you don't feel like fulfilling it.
He doesn't really have a case, I seriously doubt the Fedor-Randy fight will ever happen.

Poor multi-million (billion?) dollar, world-wide MMA organization got beaten up by a big, mean 43-year old man. Boo hoo. Dana White should sue himself for doing irreparable harm to the UFC.

If Dana had any common sense he would have come to some form of an agreement and kept this case low profile. The publicity that will come from this will do the UFC no favors whatsoever. Randy is seen as a stand up guy (which i sincerely believe he is) aswell as the face of the UFC and even MMA as a whole. If the UFC think they can discredit him espcially an unprofessional asswipe like Dana his got a shock coming. I expect the UFC to come off much worse out of this.

Dana reminds me alot of Frank Warren, in the sense of being a spoilt jilted girlfriend. He spits his dummy out immediately as soon as things dont go his way and then starts litigation at a drop of a hat.I mean "Irreparable damage?" is this guy having a ****ing laugh? Look at the UFC`s success last year espcially the last UFC, does that look like irreparable damage to the UFC`s organisation or namesake by ONE MAN?!?!?!?

You're right, Randy can not win this case. I highly doubt one man stands much of a chance against the legal arm of the multi-billion dollar Fertita empire, who also drafted these contracts and thus are intimate with what they can and can't do with legal language. However, in past judicial cases the courts can only make a no-compete clause effective domestically. Randy could fight in another country, say Japan, and it's doubtful they could stop him. They could sue the **** out of him though, or at least try.

This breach is quite similar to the Pacquiao case where he signed a GBP contract while still under Top Rank. The result? Co promotion of the next fight vs. Fedor. Everybody wins

That would be awesome, but You and I both know that the UFC will never co-promote with anyone now that the UFC is the topdog.

Good Point. The UFC hopes this dont go too public because if the Fertitas prevents this fight from happening, the negative publicity will be enormous.

Smaller orgs like Bodog, Elite will be laughing because that will inject new life

They may just be able to compete as the "alternative" Anti UFC". Kinda like ECW in Pro Wrestling

Couture vs. White/Fertitas  I wonder who fans will side with

Obviously the hardcore fans would side with the far more likable Couture over the foulmouthed White/Ferrtita's but the simple fact is the UFC has the best product, the best potential fights and the best stable of fighters, even though people will be pissed at Dana, the court case won't effect the UFC buys much at all.

Unless those other orgs can buy out the UFC talent or raise new talent then UFC will stay at the top for a long time.

I don't think the vast majority of the fans UFC earns it's buck off of give a **** about Fedor or if they drag Randy through the mud. I expect them to be as vile and backhanded as they can be, and expect them to be sucessful. They already figure the hard core fans who would care about all this hate them right now, so they have nothing to lose by litigating the hell out of Randy to keep him from ever fighting again. Randy however, does have a lot to lose financially, especially with a promising and very fortutitous movie career budding that will make him richer than the UFC ever could.

You know whats funny, Dana was dissing boxing saying that boxings full of promoters who just care about their pockets not the sport..blablabla, but it looks like the UFC is following the same course.
