UFC has given boxing a blueprint on how the top guy's can fight the top guy's.

Every UFC card has elite fights, the top guy's are not fighting journeyman to pad their records, they fight the top people in every fight. People alway's say that boxing is doing this for money, money, money but UFC is making great money along with having a better blueprint. For example why have we not seen Andre Ward fight Chavez Jr? Why should we have to wait another 4 years of them fighting bums just to see that megafight? It's a useless plan that should be changed.

Yea it's easier to make big fights happen in UFC cuz they're all under one promotion. Back when they had Pride Fc, it was harder to make big fights happen. I remember when they been wanting to make liddell-silva fight but it didn't happen until wanderlei silva sign with UFC.

The only thing i dont like about the UFC is their fighter rankings. Some fighters have won 5 or more fights and still can't get a title shot while others like Brock Lesnar gets a title shot after 2 fights and only winning 1 of the 2. :patsch

    This is the bottom line
If they refuse fights that the matchmaker makes then they're cut from their contract.Simple really

Then what's the superbowl of boxing then??? There is none, UFC is a league not a handfull of fighters, and for most MMA fans UFC is all they really need to watch, give me the equivalent to that in boxing, there is none.

It's very simple which is why it's so confusing that boxing can't get it down, we don't need 1000 different promoters

Its not that straight forward really UFC is good when it comes to matchmaking.Nobody is accused of ducking because top guys always fight each other but boxing will never be the same.
UFC fighters know the terms of the contract and know if they refuse a fight they will be in breach.Boxing is totally different.I think this is one of the reasons why UFC has taken off in recent years

The problem is to much money goes to the main event fighters and there is nothing left for the undercard. in ufc 81 the main event purse for both fighters combined was $300,000, peanuts compared to an hbo ppv card.

Yea you can't just tell these promoters to pack it up and find other jobs. This is what they do. They each are trying to make a buck and gleefully do it at the expense of the integrity of the sport. If there was one major promotion and one champion in each division, a lot of guys in boxing would suddenly be making way less money than they do now, and there's not that much money in boxing right now anyway. It's a tough situation, but I see no way out of it. It is ultimately up to the fighters themselves to demand the tough fights and most of them are happy to face weaker competition.

For example why have we not seen Andre Ward fight Chavez Jr?
Because they fight 2 weight divisions apart

    Was that Brock Lesnar/Mir??

Dana and the others are making a ****load of $$.They could easily pay fighters more eg.BJ Penn got about $125,000 for the GSP fight. One of the top guys in UFC p4p we're talking about.Think that top boxers earn easily $10million for the big PPV fights some clear $20million(Floyd,Oscar,Pac and Hatton)

You clearly have no understanding of how the two work....UFC is a brand and as such they have one guy at the top that runs the Show...That guy is Dana White and he tells HIS fighters who and when they will fight and they really have no options...In Boxing there is no ONE GUY and every fight is deal with on its own as is every fighter...The UFC is more like the NFL or NBA...Boxing would be more compared to Hollywood in the sense that one fighter can demand and get more money then another for doing the same thing...

As far was Ward fighting Chavez??? well that would be like Bj Penn fighting Andersen Silva.

You should not comment on these thing being that you clearly dont understand the difference of the two or the business side of either..Yes the UFC makes a shitload of money but the fighters dont when compared to boxers...
