true but the fighters with the 16-9 records hav allready fought some of the best opposition there is. you'll never see a guy like amir khan or jcc jr in maa you only see guys like angulo and gamboa fighting the best competition availible from the very start

thats the only thing boxing can learn from the ufc

The sad part here is that even as a monopoly, The UFC cant ****in put a good fight together. They put out 12 PPVs in a year, youd be lucky to get one matchup that would equal a Pac/JMM or a Mosley/Cotto.

They just did BJ/GSP last month. Its the best that they would be able to put out until they can get Fedor to fight Brock. Their matchmaking skills are horrendous. Look at the next two cards for proof.

Now to defend MMA, Pride use to put out stacked shows with a bunch of intriguing matchups.

The UFC is here for one thing, to bamboozle the fans out of their hard earned money. Remember that the Fertitas own the UFC and they are in the Casino business. The line of business theyre in tells you everything you need to know. The clients never win.

actually I think this is a good thread and one I was thinking of making with some of your sentiments, accept, of course, like someone else said, which I was thinking of posting until I saw it, is that Chavez and Ward are two divisions apart.

the main point though, is that the UFC makes the big fights happen much more than boxing does.

we had to wait three years for Darchinyan vs Arce, the ufc would have done it three years ago when the fight was red hot and darch was undefeated and arce at the height of his own success, and would have probably given us a rematch or two if warranted.

not to say the ufc doesn't have its problems and drawbacks, but all this **** we get, two fighters posing, arguing about money, pulling out, challenging each other accusing the other of running and never making a match, all that **** doesn't happen in the UFC because Dana Hilter White makes the rules and the money and the slaves ****ing FIGHT!!!!!

of course, that is why it won't work in boxing. the inmates run the aslyum and every fighter wants the lowerst risk hightest reward its hilarious.

for example, right now, you got Arreola hoping for a shot at Klitchscko, Minto calling out Arreola, and Beltchender calling out Minto.

in the ufc they pretty much HAVE to fight who they are told to, not in boxing, not by a long mile.

I don't really want to see boxers reduced to the slaves that the ufc fighters are, however, it would be nice if there was some unified structure that forces matches to happen, or strips them of some unified structure's universally accepted title, or something...some way that if they didn't fight the public rejected them as well

Do you actually have a brain, or did you just fart into that hole in the base of your skull?

If you can propose a way to get rid of all the promoters, congratulations, you will have done what 100 years worth of other people haven't been able to do.

I thought the December MMA ppv was f'n awesome. I don't follow MMA too much but when Silva comes out and he's the 3rd fight from the last, you know its money well spent.

My money is that the Hatton/Pac undercard will be just as bad as the Pac/ODLH undercard.
