UFC has given boxing a blueprint on how the top guy's can fight the top guy's.

The ufc got the chance to learn from boxing.

 

I know ufc fighters are very good and would kick my ass. But for some reason, whenever i watch their high profile fights. I always think to myself WTF? these guys are the best supposed fighters in the world? I never get that same feeling that I do when watching a real good boxing unification match.

 

The thing is the top MMA guys wouldn't be considered top fighters if they were boxers.

Even the most talented amateur boxers in the world couldn't turn pro and beat the champion after just a couple of fights. Except for very very rare occasions. This just never happens. It takes years and close to 20 fights for the fighters to learn the skills and acquire the experience necessary to challenge for a world title.

Boxing and MMA are just very different sports who really shouldn't be compared with one another.

just look at shogun vs iceman, waswatchin dana whites blog an he went into the locker room after shoguns last fight an asked him if he wants to fight chuck, he said yes then the fights made!! easy as that

 

everyone is so far away from the mark on this point.... its unbelievable

 

I think that the Roman Empire gave us this blueprint 2000 years ago.
