I've watched plenty of these events recently and I can't find the appeal.Sometimes the striking is entertaining but far far too often it turns into a grapple choke fest,****ing boring as hell to watch.
It doesn't seem to have the round by round unpredictability that boxing has.Fights don't seem to swing to and fro, sometimes holding you on tender hooks until the championship rounds.
I've seen people get KO'd in UFC only for their opponent to rain blows down on their heads.
    No honour involved.
Skilled yep,Intense yep,Appealing nope,it's almost degrading to see someone trying to guillotine someone around their necks i.e squeeze/strangulate them until submission.
It's always been around as Don King! once said until things got civilised and rules got made.

UFC sucks, plain and simple. Here is why.

Fighters suck, they are not skilled or powerful
    Sucky generic rock music
    Announcers are rubbish
    Commentators Suck
    Arena's have no atmosphere.
    cuddling on the floor
    Rivalry with Pro Wrestling
    The women are ugly.

Two guys bitin' each other on the balls. Mostly appeals to the same fan base as WWE.

It has way more than boxing. Being able to use your legs, and sumbit people lead to things you dont expect to see.

MMA more so represents a fight. When is a fight honorable ?

You know nothing about the sport.

Rivalry to Wrestling? Please, besides the one mega fight a year boxing has, mma is dominating sales.

Those "unskilled" guys would beat the hell out of their boxing counterparts in a real fight. Sure, boxers are more skilled punchers (obviously), but the MMA guys are excellent all-around fighters and if you stepped on the mat with one of them, you wouldn't think they were cuddling you, or think they were doing anything gay or ineffective, when they are choking the **** out of you or ripping your arm out of socket.

Boxing is my favorite sport, but don't think that the MMA guys have no skill because that is just ignorant. Boxing is just one narrow aspect of the overall fight game. MMA guys are learning every aspect of it, and so can't devote as much time to any single thing - whether it's wrestling, jiu jitsu, boxing, mui thai, etc - they are training in all of them.

It takes a lot of skill to be an mma fighter and succeed. I'd love to see these guys try to fight even the mid company fighters.
