polymath , you believe evidences right ? you don't post bs because you're a fanboy right ? Or are you the equivalent of a creationist ? (believing without solid evidences..just because the bible told you so..) You're an atheist right ?

If so , you should learn to accept valid evidences even if you hate this ****ing sport. There's plenty of legit athletes , olympic caliber judokas , greco westlers , world champs in adcc , sambo...who are participating in mma. it's a fact.

I don't know why people think boxers would make great athletes in other sports. Usually they have such skinny legs...

How did you connect the "level of competition" with "athletic prowess" again? Other than it's still weak(even though its gettin popular) popularity list you just spit bunch of BS.
Yes, boxing is an Olympic sport. The level of competition for boxing is higher than level of competition for MMA. That doesn't make boxers better athletes. All this means is that best boxers are better at boxing than best MMA fighters are at MMA. For special ed. students this doesn't mean that boxers can beat MMA fighters.

Fisherman example? :nut :patsch What part of "competition" do you not understand? Promise you there are not more competitive fishermen than there are soccer players.

Learn to differentiate between "athleticism" and "competition level" then come back.

Only three hundred words in when I said "fook kit!" A show called Dragons Den got my attention as I scanned the D-Box.

MMA is for people who enjoy all around fighting. If you only enjoy striking, then you probably only want to be a fan of contact sports that only allow striking. Personally, I love all of the different aspects of fighting. I can watch two wrestlers, or two JJ guys, or a wrestler vs JJ, ect... and love to see the transitions, the control, positioning, ect.... For every boring MMA fight, there is a boring boxing match as well. I love boxing, and I am a huge fan of both boxing and MMA... however you have to realize that boxing is just a tiny fraction of an actual fight. It is the single most restricting and limited fighting sport there is. Which is why boxers don't make a good transition into MMA.

striking is the purest and most basic form of fighting, which is why the greatest ufc fights have been stand up fights essentially boxing matches

Judo is incredibly popular in Japan, what the hell do you mean its not mainstream?

Judo and wrestling both are easily more popular than rugby, which is basically limited to the british commonwealth.
