cormier eye pokes his way to victory and nobody says crap about it in the post fight interview. Worse then ward kov or pac horn. It was crooked for sure but I still blame miocic for allowing it to happen. After the first eye poke you must immediately poke back to draw more attention to it. Miocic was coming on and Cormier poked his eye and then miocic started backing up. Cormier has his hands open while blocking which is fine but you have to make a fist when you punch. The finger can’t dart in his eye like it’s the 3 stooges and ****. He landed 3-4 eye pokes and the final ko was a 3 stooges jab in the eye, clinch, create space by shoving and turn the right over. So obvious to anybody who knows what they are looking at. Definite black eye for the sport.
The eye pokes were blatant and were a big reason Stipe never saw the right hook off the clinch. Miocic won’t say anything about it because he’s too humble and doesn’t want to seem like he’s making excuses. GSP and Fedor > Cormier And in his main base which is wrestling... Sanderson > Cormier 4 life
I never thought dc was that kinda dude but I guess if you get koed twice and cry like a little baby in the interview you’ll resort to anything not to have to make a fool out of yourself again, that’s exactly what he did.
At this juncture, UFC basically is WWE with real fighting. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if Cormier vs Lesnar -- which, according to Dana, is signed and sealed -- ends up being a Ladder match or something like that. DC will win, and then Jon Jones will come to the Octagon, cash in a Money In The Bank contract and get a Heavyweight title fight with Cormier there and then. Okay, so the above is an exaggeration... ...But not by very much.
