The ufc has been making very questionable matchmaking decisions over the course of the past few months.Diego Sanchez and Joe Stevenson are set to headline ufc 95.Both of whom have multiple losses in the last year or so and are nowhere near the top of their respective divisions.

Anderson Silva looked sensational beating Dan Henderson last year. His opponents since James Irvin and Patrick Cote two average fighters undeserving of a fight with Silva. His next fight is mooted for ufc 97 against Thales Leites a fighter who beat his only notable opponent Nate Marquart by very controversial decision. The two most deserving fighters in that division at the moment are Demian Maia and Yushin Okami but they are not fighting each other next.Maia is fighting Chael Sonnen at ufc 96.

Brock Lesnar brought a 2-1 record into his title victory over Randy Couture, when the fight should have been a champion vs champion match between Nogueira and Couture.Lesnar should have probably got a rematch with Frank Mir before getting a title shot that he didn't deserve.

Lyoto Machida arguably the best fighter in the light-heavyweightg division apparently won't get a title shot if he beats Thiago Silva. The shot will likely go to Quinton Jackson who beat a washed up Wanderlei Silva and lost to Forrest Griffin before that.Machida is undefeated and deserves a title shot as soon as possible.

Ufc is so successful because it is run by tremendously intelligent people who should not be making mistakes like these. The fighters and the fans deserve better.

I think the BJ / GSP fight is a bad move by them business wise right now, but I'm happy as hell they made it.

That fight truly is one I never expected from the UFC. It really is a gift that this fight is allowed to happen. Reminds me of.. Pride.

I agree. But only if BJ wins. If he loses then they're business as usual. But, I think this is gonna come back to bite Dana in the arse as BJ becomes the only man in UFC history to hold two belts at the same time. (I think)

Yeah, I've stated quite a few times that the UFC do making some strange decisions. But to be fair its only a few things which they do now and then which puzzles me.

I think St. Pierre will defeat Penn personally.

Anyone thinking that we may see some questionable refereeing/judging in the GSP-Penn fight?

From the UFC's standpoint it seems that a Penn win would **** a lot of things up while a GSP win would inflate his status at no loss to Penn's.

They have their reasons though. Lesnar-Couture was a big money maker you know and besides they brought back Couture and didnt want him waiting around for a fight for 8-9 months although I agree Lesnar didnt deserve it the divison isnt exactly stacked. Lyoto is just to boring in most fans eyes and probablly the UFCs so they probablly want him in a title shot as a last resort. Stevenson vs Sanchez is a head stratcher as a main event and one more loss might kill Stevenson as far as being looked at as a legit top guy at 155. With Silva I figure they are just trying to buy time until he moves to 205 or they are hoping Bisping can beat Franklin-Henderson I suppose Maia is to risky for their plans and Okami gets boos in all of his fights.

Look at it in a business prospective. You have to understand that the UFC is a business. They can't always provide star-studded main-events. They have so many fighters under contract. That's why we see a lot of TUFs headlining PPVs.

Be happy that we get to see BJ/Georges II.
