I know boxers get criticized for ducking, however it's interesting that many top boxers can afford to duck million dollar fights whereas UFC fighters a practically forced to fight on minimum wage and would give their left nut sack to fight for a few mills

    These guys are so inconsistent!

According to most MMA guys,Boxing was already dead I thought! I thought they said we would never see Pac-Mayweather??? I thought the biggest Boxing match of all time would fail to be made??? lol

Since when,in the last 150 years has anyone even heard of a sport dying??? How big is golf??? Yet even that is still on tv! Give me a break.

I think ground "fighter" Florian WISHES Boxing would go away so he wouldn't have to try and learn it. Better yet,he probably wishes guys like Sanchez wouldnt be able to use Boxing to smash his face in!

“With the gradual dying of boxing as a national sport, judo seems the perfect replacement“
    Black Belt Magazine, 1964

“The experts have been saying for years that boxing is dying because kids no longer are hungry, because boxing no longer is the way for a poor kid to get rich quick.”
    LA Times, 1963

As it is, the school of boxing is rapidly dying out, and when the professors of the present day have passed away it will be hard to say where the new ones are to come from.”
Professor Ned Donelly, The art of boxing, 1879

Not really. Pac-Mayweather is hardly "anything." It's the biggest fight in at least 10 years. This is as close as Ali-Frazier that this generation will come.

Back then fighters got paid amounts that were considered crazy like a whopping 5 million dollars! Now things have just moved up. Things move up proportionately.

Italy and Germany are Soccer-Nations and nothing is there so popular like soccer. But in fighting is boxing the biggest thing there. We had between 3-5 Million follower when Abraham fights and 10 Million when Klitschko fights.

UFC or MMA has only a few fans here compare with Boxing.

UFC huge in Japan. I don't think so.

MMA is dead in Japan and not a chance a gajin promotion gets huge. It's a niche product in Japan.

The title of the thread makes me laugh, Kenny Florian isn't even close to being a mega star. At best he's a bit of a name in the sport and that's about it.

All the UFC guys are getting caught with drugs and PEDs. Its a sport full of con artists. Their only legit star is a blonde white girl who only wins fights with same damn move. They talk about how versatile their art is yet no one shows any decent stand up ability. No one in their right mind is gonna keep paying to see the blonde white girl twist a talentless unknown's arm in like 20 seconds or whatever

Lol at that the ufc is only n peds. They didn't get caught till they introduce random testing, most don't make the same money As an Andre ward, type of fighter that can afford better gear. I'm not evn along may and pac I'm a laymen who has been on and off gear and Hgh for about 10 years, evn I can pass an nsac test no problem. The usada vada type requires serious help to pass, Atlanta memo, conte, and other S&C chemists that know what they are doing.
