Getting dominated? Lool, Poirier pulled guard twice going for the submission. The first time when Alvarez got out of the guillotine, he had a dominating position, and Poirier got up with ease. The second time Alvarez got out of the guillotine again, and just sat on Poirier at the cage, doing absolutely nothing - besides a 12-6 elbow. Alvarez didn't even try to get in a position to land some heavy blows, just sat there.

Poirier took Alvarez out of there the very first time he exploded. Even if Eddie didn't throw that illegal elbow, he would most likely just sit on Poirier rest of the round, and Poirier would just get the knockout in the 3rd instead.

Poirier was hurt and reeling before Alvarez Landes the accidental knee but yeah forget that because it goes along with your cuck narrative.

I like Eddie and feel that he threw an illegal elbow during a vicious battle in the heat of the moment.Dustin did a good job of avoiding the takedown until he went for the choke. Poirier has a versatile style with a strange fluidity that shouldn't be underestimated even against Khabib.

Poirier landed a massive low blow that was missed. Alvarez should have gotten five minutes

Not **** Sherlock. I've hated Goddard the cuck for a long time and think he's a terrible ref. A warning was that was needed an instead he gives Poirier a gift stand up while he was in a tough spot. Poirier has yet to beat Alvarez without controversy.

Controversy..... Yeah, he could've just given a warning, but Eddie broke the rules himself - not Poirier not Goddard. Poirier made Alvarez quit this time!

Alvarez is a decent fighter with a great heart, but he lack of skills. He is not that dominant a wrestler, very poor striking defense and a questionable chin.

Let's not forget that Alvarez were gifted a title shot in the first place. He lost a pretty clear decision to Cowboy Cerrone, then won by a very small margin against Melendez - and were then gifted a SD over Pettis, he lost that fight in the octagon, but somehow won at the judges. So he got a title shot by being 2 and 1 in the UFC - and really should've been 1 and 2 - without one dominating performance. He landed one shot in the fight with Dos Anjos, that won him the title. Congrats. But there are CLEARLY many better fighters in the division than Alvarez.

Poirier would ofc have been the champ in Bellator, but he came in the UFC at 7-0 - and he is still there. Cementing himself as a UFC hall of famer fight by fight - even if he wont win the title or even get a title shot.

Yeah Poirier easily beats the Chandler that Alvarez went to war with twice, maybe in the cuck land that you seem to occupy. Alvarez had world titles in Dream, Bellator and the UFC. Poirier has ZERO.

You should know that you don't get to resume position after you land any illegal blows. While I respect your opinion you are wrong on this and are blinded because of the issues you have with the ref and seemingly Poirier despite Alvarez being at fault both times while losing both fights

Refs warn all the time for blows behind the head without standing the fight up. It was a questionable move that allowed Poirier back into the fight. Facts.

No facts at all lol just your opinion which your entitled to but doubt many would agree ,you seem to have issues with the referee and Poirier but no problem with Alvarez despite him being the 1 who keeps committing these fouls .

Yes they are given a warning but when the person is struck with an illegal blow the action stops so the warning can be issued and the opponent gets time to recover if needed.

Also Poirier wasn't really in trouble or close to being stopped and Alvarez was in a far worse position earlier in the round.

Obviously you don't think so but Poirier would definitely be a chance to beat any version of Chandler and the majority of guys Eddie beat actually.

a lot of refs will just pause the action and issue a warning standing it up. Both fouls were in the heat out the moment and the knee rule is one of the most ******ed in all of MMA.. Poirier was definitely reeling in that fight... He wasn't tonight but he benefited from a questionable stand up after 1 illegal strike that did zero damage and should have just resulted in a momentary pause and warning.
