It just wasn't that clear of a robbery.

 

Larkin won under pride rules, unified rules, any rules for unarmed combat. Judges have no idea what they are watching.

Rounds 2 and 3 were harder to score. Carmont landed some decent shots in the 2nd. There were a few good leg kicks, a nice jab, and some right hands. None of them were quite as flashy as Larkin's, but flashy doesn't cause it to hurt any more when it lands. Carmont also got him to the ground at the end of the round, and Larkin did not get back to his feet without help from the bell.

The 3rd could have gone to Larkin due to the work from his back. He was also put on his back against his will, and Carmont deserves some sort of credit for defending the submission attempts. Carmont landed a few throws, and did threaten Larkin from behind early on.

I thought Larkin was going to get the decision, but wasn't surprised by the outcome.

 

Love him or hate him Chael Sonanan in good for the UFC.

 

Carmont should be cut. That is 2 losses in row and his fights are boring.
