Yeah, I don't care if they're on at the same time, I'll just watch all the fights for free on mmatko! :happy

Exactly :yep Everyones always gotta complain. Just work around it ive been doing it for years I myself will stream Affliction while tapping the UFC and just staying away from the boards because a fight like Wanderlei Silva and Brandon Vera I gotta see without knowing a result.

Kind of a dick move, but I'm not going to complain about a free MMA event.

The guys putting up money for Affliction better hope its not true.
This Affliction event is going to lose more money than any mma event ever.

I read somewhere that they are banking on 250k buys for their July 19th card... I think they will be lucky to get 50k. That number will go even lower if the UFC puts on a free card.

I seen the first advertisement for it on the fightnetwork today, most hardcore fans know about it but very few people know it's even going on.

Did they sign Fedor to a multy fight deal or just one at a time....does anyone know?

I think Affliction is kind of unique in that they are mostly selling clothes, and having a big event is like having a huge promotion of their clothline. I mean how much do Budweiser and other companies pay to UFC to advertise them part-time? Affliction gets all the attention, so maybe at the end of the day they won't do so bad even if the card doesn't sell as well.

And i think they are ****ing up with promoting it. They need to show more commercials. They have all the great fighters, they just need to let people know about it.

I heard that the Vitor Belfort-Terry Martin fight was added to the already stacked Affliction MMA card; any legitimate MMA fan with enough cash to watch the Affliction card knows that the Affliction card is the one to watch, regardless of what the UFC throws to SpikeTV.

I think this is the biggest dick move I've seen in a while; Dana White and Co. probably panicked when finding out about Affliction's card, which features real names and talent, thus, they are going to try and distract fans with a card on Spike.

Well all I gotta say is Wanderlei-Vera is better and more competitive then ANY fight Affliction is putting on almost every fight is like yeah its obvious who wins that.

Who do you think wins the Belfort-Martin fight?

I'm leaning toward Belfort via knockout. Belfort is, what, 31? The guy is one a two-fight winning streak, has a better record against heavier opposition, I think his southpaw style and advanced striking skills will be too much for Martin. :huh

Well Belforts had a pretty decent career fighting Light Heavyweights and Heavyweights so on paper he should smoke a mid level Middleweight Terry Martin who has a average chin. I hope Belfort looks good at the weight and fights Matt Lindland for a Affliction Middleweight title.

Martin just fought over the weekend, and won by DQ via being punted in the balls, don't know if he would be ready in a month.

So.... it's Dana White and the UFC's job to make sure that their competition is successful?
