I enjoyed that video. I wonder what Dana White will say after Fedor retires. If he says good things about him and tells the truth that the things he has said were all just for promotional business, I will have more respect for Mr. White. If he keeps on with his nonsense I cant help but dislike the man. He has always seemed like a ***** to me.
Very funny video. Also very biased though. I've personally always had a 50/50 opinion with Dana. He does some good and bad things. After all the interviews and the UFC events I've watched, I doubt my opinion is gonna change. The ending was priceless. :rofl I never understood why the president of a big company like the UFC would express himself this way all the time.
"Name-calling and such stupid reactions are for kids and pussies... Anyone who is siding with Dana, is as big a ***** as he is." That made me laugh.
It realy cracks me up when Dana says how bad Fedor is and than every one of the best fighters in the world (gsp, silva, penn) say Fedor is #1 Obviously when you consider a fighter bad or not that good, you don't offer him a whole lot of money. Didn't Dana said he offered Fedor so much money like he has never done too any fighter before :thinkatsch!? Dana should realy stop acting this tuff dude he so miserly wants too be.
Basically he hasn't gone Metallica on us, so we should all be exceedingly grateful. If you know what I'm saying.
why should I be grateful? I will never understand this. To place this in context I am never going to be grateful to don king or bob arum for the fights that they put together, but I do express gratitude for what Pacquiao or Cotto or any other fighter that places themselves in harms way their mind and body on the line and we get to watch them compete...I am grateful to them. Sakuraba, Chuck Liddell, Nog, Fedor I am greatful to watch, but not Dana White. NEVER DANA WHITE. Dana White did not invent MMA, if their was no dana white MMA would still exist. Would we be better off? Or would we worse off? No one knows for sure... Dana and the Frettitas are in this for the money and they now have it, they will continue to have it and put on more shows to get more dollars. This is not a bad thing, but we owe them nothing else.
Point to me where and when Bob Arum or Don King invested $50million of their own money into growing the sport? Tell me how they expanded the fanbase of their own sport as opposed to just working out better ways to get more money from existing fans?
Dana White is a *****. This is on a par with other youtube revelations as George Bush is a lizard hybrid and this [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMNry4PE93Y[/ame]
And yet you can't answer the question. Yes Zuffa are promoters, yes they are motivated by cash and yes they will do things to ensure that nobody can compete with them. But the difference between them and the likes Vince McMahon or Don King is that whilst they have been promoted the sport it has got bigger, much bigger. McMahon and King were merely experts in making more money from a stable or contracting fanbase.
Dana White never spent $50million of his own money! WTH are you talking about? Dana asked his boys the Fertitas to spend money and they gave him a 10 percent share of ownership for turning them onto the purchase deal. Dana is a very minority shareholder in the UFC the Abu Dhabi guys own more of the UFC then him. Dana is just a shrewd businesman who had rich friends and was in the right place at the right time. I think that MMA would be as big as it is now with anyone else as the president of the UFC. I think Dana gets too much credit, in fact the way he acts and talks non-professional I think that has actually hindered its growth abit. I think if someone with the same drive and determination as Dana had a less abrasive attitude then the UFC would be on network television and be covered by major sports outlets more then it is now. Bigger name sponsers would be pouring money into shows. I think who they have sponsering now are doing it in spite of Dana because the sport is getting so big. Dana thinks that people WANT to see him, he has let fame go to his head and wants the spotlight on him, kind of like Vince McMahon. Vince didn't ever get in front of the camera at the beginning, now its all you see. Vince even wrestles now I was shocked! I think if Dana had the balls he wants to get in the ring, but he doesn't so we will never see it happen. fact is though he loves the spotlight and I for one don't want to see some douchebag mouthing off who isn't gonna get in the ring and back it up.
the best part is Dana saying how much Fedor sucks and then GSP, Anderson and BJ all calling him the best :deal
