are the ufc getting in on the british boxing scene?

 

Don't worry, someone will be along shortly with a convoluted theory claiming that this could lead to E4 showing more boxing.

 

Not really that new, not really that important.

One quote today from Dana though: 'This will be for todays generation what boxing was for my generation'. He's right IMO.

 

Hopefully Campbell Hatton will turn pro soon to give terrestrial TV the star it needs.

Boxing doesn't seem to want to sort itself out and offer a better product.

Until the sport's major backers (TV basically) turn round and say ''**** you all, until X, Y and Z are met, you'll get nothing'' we'll still be going round in circles.

The only thing boxing has on MMA is that MMA is ****ing ****, boxing isn't.

A valid, but tiresome question IMO. They can co-exist: but Boxing needs to sort itself out to be a viable competitor, MMA is gonna' get bigger and bigger, with or without this deal. With it: well, the potential becomes nigh on limitless I guess.

In my opinion Flea once MMA gets bigger and bigger you're going to get the same problems as boxing. UFC is the only mainstream product at the minute but once the american audience want mma and few other promotions get there act together and get a few other stars in and get tv time it will be just like boxing. Zuffa won't intergrate with other promotions unless they own them like the did with strikeforce.
