    Bias? Check the message boards.

A group of 80 that are as crazy about sport as we are, but professionals, is so right Koa.

Have no fear as for the most part you will be in agreement with the standings.

NBA, NFL, MLB, WBC, WBA, and the IBF all implement a ranking system.... Along with every other major sport in the World, I don't see how this is going to fail. Now The UFC weight classes will have structure, and matchmaking is still going to do their best to deliver the fights we want the most.

Don't worry about him - he's never going to say anything positive about Zuffa-era UFC, ever. He's just a butthurt hipster crying that his favourite band made it onto the radio and now that people actually give a **** about them it's not the same anymore. I mean the guy has a PRIDE tattoo, FFS. He literally branded himself as a fanboy. :patsch :rofl

That it does. The rankings won't be perfect, but it's certainly a good move. And good to see that Zuffa has chosen to hand off the power to outside people. :good

Not that they can't still exert influence over them - controlling access to the fighters etc - but they can do that anyway if they want. :conf

Be interesting to see how the matchmaking changes, if it does at all. Generally, they seem to pitch fights fairly appropriately as it is. If you're a top 5 contender, you don't tend to fight anyone outside the top 10 unless you're coming back from injury. Very rare to see boxing-style mismatches where a top-level guy is murdering a journeyman while waiting for a title shot. :yep

Don't think so. Maybe. :good

Wouldn't be too excited about in-house rankings being broadcast as gospel. But people outside the company drawing them up? Sure, that's not a bad thing. :good

i agree. Get mandatories (thats what we were talking about maybe) and voluntaries (recommended strongly by dana lol). Deserving fighters will be guaranteed a shot, and popular fighters too
