i understand this but surely people parting with and looking for value for money boxing is to foregone for me ortiz boots should put it down now and after that come back and meet in a few years it didn't hsrm groves and degale and people were genuinely satisfied sport and business dont let money and control rule without the fans they have nothing
Theres like 5 different fighters on there that are bigger stars/draws than Plant lol. Granted Canelo is the biggest star of the bunch.
Boxers paid more blah blah blah: In 2018, the annual salary of the UFC fighter was around $138,000 ($68,000 median income) which is a lot more compared to the $45,000 yearly salary of the average full-time worker in the US. However, over 37% of UFC fighters (around 213) were paid less than the average American worker! What’s more, only 187 UFC fighters were able to secure six-figure salaries! As for the boxers, the average salary in 2018 was $35,585 per year. According to chron.com, it varies between $22,000 at the lowest level to the $37,000 at the high end.
Comparing apples to oranges. There are a lot of bum fights in boxing that drag down the average salary. UFC features the best MMA fighters in the world. You cannot be a total bum and fight at UFC, but you can have professional boxing fights.
Well I'd probably say UFC has the top 15 out of the top 20 in every division. But that's the point isn't it. UFC is a valid career jump, with a realistic shot at making it big, all you have to do is win your fights. In boxing the top earners are insanely rich, but the vast majority are not, not at all. The vast majority of boxers are journey men and still have to work full time to support themselves. The distribution of wealth in boxing is insane. In UFC its much fairer.
As long as Canelo doesn't hold off his ring walk till the UFC fights end I'll be happy. They did that for the Kovalev fight and my ass was falling asleep
The UFC is starting to put on good cards again after 2 weeks of WMMA-headlined events, so I'm not going to miss this one for anything. I'm guessing that most of the fights in the main event will all end in early KO's, so I'll probably be able to watch both.
