At the Q&A Dana said there are talking about it possibily happening. If it happens, it will definitely benefit the fighters and there would be more stacked UFC cards. What do you guys think?
I heard the UFC were gonna use this as a lower division. As in fighters would have to work there way up from WEC to UFC
I would like it from the point of view of getting the 145 and below classes on the UFC cards; seeing Torres headline a UFC ppv would be great. I would like it if the WEC brought back the other weight classes so guys from the UFC who are on a slide, need to improve, or whatever the case may be, could have a place to fight that's televised, stable and extremely well run. Not sure if that's how it would work though, this one isn't clear because "merge" could mean a lot of things. I don't like it if means more WEC on VS; I doubt that network would be in favor of losing it's biggest draw either. MMA needs to be on TV as much as possible and on as many networks as possible. I also just like the way the WEC and VS put on shows, it's very profesional and well presented; it's better than the fight nights on Spike, although that's not quote an even comparison, as it's the lowest ufc event vs the top events for wec. Often though the wec shows are better than the free numbered ufc events. I really like Mir as a commentator, at his best he's better than Rogan, although at his wost he's terrible, usually he's just barely worse than Rogan. I don't like Pulver nealy as much as Mir; Pulvers a great guy and I loved him as a fighter, but needs some time and work to be a commentator. The play by play guy is a different style than Goldberg, calmer; just depends what mood Im in.
This would be excellent.... A featherweight division would be added to the UFC cards. Just bringing guys over like Torres, Faber and Brown would make UFC 10x better than it already is. :rasta
