Ferguson had the fight beaten out of him, he didn't quit, I've already seen a few comments on twitter saying Ferguson quit, disgusting to suggest that in my opinion.

Yes, Ferguson turned away but there is huge difference in my opinion between "quitting" and your body instinctively "having enough" and Fergusons brain and body had enough, he gave everything he had, took a terrible beating and didn't have anything left, his legs stopped working, he was shaking his head at the end to keep himself conscious, he turned away because his brain was shutting down while in the middle of a cage with a savage, it was just instinctive.

Ferguson as tough as he is.. took that much of a beating I don't think he'll be the same again, it got to the point I was watching the last round through my fingers, it was a hard watch, sometimes a granite jaw can be a disadvantage and I believe tonight was an example of that.

Fighters will go through careers not taking that sort of punishment, Ferguson took in 20 minutes, that has to do something to your brain, your health, that isn't normal.

As for Gaethje, WOW, Khabib has a problem, a genuine, real, extremely dangerous problem.

Gaethje was sensational from start to finish, I can't praise him highly enough.

Obviously they won't be fighting next and I was talking about in the future but the fact I need to explain that says a lot about you, especially after you've called a bunch of other people morons here

    Justin did better than expected.

Tony looked a step slower and drained, but still just got ****ed up in the 5th. He nearly chinned Justin 4 times.

    Khabib destroys Justin.

What a great card this was.

Gutted for Werdum, he's always been one of my favourite fighters but tbh this fight I was rooting for both me for obvious reasons.

Ngannou is an absolute beast and there seems to be no middle ground with him. He either destroys a fighter or gets completely neutralised.

Cejudo is an ATG of that there can be no doubt.

As for Gaethje, I was really high on him before he lost to Alvarez. I don't usually rate strikers that highly but he was such a crisp hard hitter. Then he lost two on the bounce and I thought it was pretty much his level had been reached.I'd love to see him rematch Dustin but surely Khabib is next.

The lack of crowd didn't affect my enjoyment at all as the commentary did a fantastic job of keeping the hype going. Especially with how technical Rogan was in his analysis.

    Great card.

Idiots man. I was telling my friends that I was worried about him having a traumatic brain injury. His body language was not good towards the end of the fight and yeah nothing about how he reacted to that last punch was voluntary. Fortunately there was no brain injury but yeah he's not going to be the same after that kind of beating. Gaethje totally broke him. Khabib is in big trouble.

Khabib gets KTFO if he stands with Gaethje like he stood with McGregor.

Gaethje fought a beautiful fight and he literally beat the soul out of Tony's body. But by Christ is El Cucuy one tough iron-jawed SOB. Astonishing he managed to remain vertical from start to finish after eating all those bombs. That was a display of next level cheen from him last night. But Gaethje is a certified beast now that he's not being quite so gung ho and reckless and he's still great to watch too.

Yeah I agree, I watched it with my son, he said pretty much the same thing, he was really concerned for Ferguson midway through in the fight.

He was shocked that Ferguson was being hit with the same punches over and over again, Ferguson just never adjusted and took a serious beating.

Hardy clearly won rds 2 and 3 with activity alone as his opponent did not fight at all in those last 2 rds. Please explain how Hardy lost that fight ?

I agree and don't believe he is retiring at all. He is a champion and having just beaten Cruz/Moraes/Dillashaw/Johnson. He gets champion pay/ppv money and can earn millions$$$$$$$ over the next couple of years. He's not retiring.

Maybe it was the beer and the cooked wide cards but I thought Castro shaded the first 2. Definitely won the first though which Hardy somehow took on all 3 cards. Regardless I don't care enough about the fight to go back and rewatch.

    @Francis75

This seems about right I guess. Looking back on the fight I sort of lost interest at the halfway point that along with he wide cards and admittedly my dislike for Hardy probably got the better of my judgement at the time.
