Kharitonov is underrated in this OP. No way he loses to Carwin or Mirko.

 

It's mind boggling to consider this, but ultimately in a tournament I have no doubts SF would win. Not every match by no means...Some guys are shot, or suck these days. I'll just say nothing leads me to beleive any of those HW in UFC could beat Overeem. Guy is just to big, and to good right now. Really, I'm not so sure any could beat Fedor. On the ground he hasn't been doing well lately, but nobody on that list really scares me for his sake. It's either big guys who gas out, or are very limited (Carwin and Lesnar), over the hill, or somebody that'd be willing to stand and trade with him such as Dos Santos. Perhaps they could get the better of it, but I don't think Fedor's toughness, chin, etc has been hurt lately. Cain could possibly beat him the ground.
Think most people would struggle with BigFoot as well, and unless they knock him out Werdum beats most of these guys.

My $ would be on Overeem though. At least in SF guys like Big Foot, Kharitonov, Barnett are big guys that are pretty good all around and in shape, and stand a chance. Against those UFC guys you mentioned the ones that are big enough can't go past a round. I don't think JDS or Cain are big enough to beat him...There plenty big enough to smack around Lesnar, but unless Overeem starts taking estregen...He's not going to develop in to Lesnar over night.

 

You guys are counting Mir out way to easily. A focused Mir is very dangerous.

 

Can't believe how many people are swayed by a bit of muscle. Reem jabs some juice in his arse cheek and all of a sudden he is unbeatable? If chuck can knock him out almost any HW can knock him out. You can't put muscles on your chin, just ask Messrs Duffee and Lesnar.

I don't get the hate for the UFC. Sure Dana is a grade a ***** and Lesnar was an overrated douchebag. Is it a beatles V stones thing? Are people upset that Pride folded? What is it? It's like the Pride brigade resent the UFC for making MMA more popular and attracting some 'impure' fans, only a true MMA fan knows UFC is **** and Fedor et al are the real MMA guys?

End of the day if you don't watch UFC you are missing like 75% of the top MMA fights/fighters. You must all watch it really, right? I don't pay to watch it but I wouldn't want to deny myself because of a misplaced loyalty to an org' that no longer exists.

 

That's been nearly 4 years now, and although I won't judge wether he's on roids or not (I don't think he'd HAVE to be)...He has gotten quite bigger since then, and has improved a lot. We'll see how the rest of the tournament goes down, but my $ is on him.

 

He would have to be mate. For real.

 

I just love how Overeem has somehow become unbeatable in many people's eyes. Not exactly sure who he beat to get this sort of unbeatable status... but I must have missed it.
