Please don't read too much into his win over Pac, Pac was going to eventually hit the wall. Everyone knew that. We were all expecting it. Spence was going to beat Pac as well. As for him vs. Ugas: Spence's jab is better (and stronger) Far more power He's dedicated to the body He is adept at cutting the ring off (unlike Pac) No size advantage/or strength advantage Frankly, Spence could probably beat Ugas on the outside or the inside. Despite Uga's win, I think Spence, Crawford, Ortiz, Ennis even Keith (depending on which Keith is left) all beat him.
Doubtful. Don't get me wrong, Spence is very overrated and has forged a career ''excelling at fighting guys smaller than him,'' but Ugas has lost to a bunch of fighters I think Spence would likely beat in Imam, Johnny Garcia, and Robles and as big as Ugas looked the other night against the ghost of Manny's grandfather's corpse he would be yet another Spence opponent who'd come up in weight from 140. Spence is a natural 154 weight bully beating up on blown up 135s and 140s and on the two lone occasions he's actually fought natural 147/154 pounders his own size he's struggled badly against both and that's hardly a coincidence. To be fair to Ugas, he did a better job on Porter than Spence did as I feel that Porter warranted at least a draw against Spence.
TBF, Ugas hasn't had a very long pro career and I believe that he's peaking. He's highly skilled and better defensively then Spence. And I think he's possibly bigger than Spence. And Kenny Porter gave Ugas full custody of Shawn.
Pre-Accident Spence Stops Ugas Pre-Eye injury Spence beats him by decision Post-Eye injury Spence who knows?
Ugas is 35, has been boxing since he was six, and was a highly decorated amateur who had hundreds of amateur fights. He's a good solid fundamentally sound technician but he's nothing special. Ugas was lucky the bell came to his rescue against Abel Ramos who hurt him twice despite barely letting his hands go all night. This content is protected Spence is a natural 154 pounder at worst ''I'm a big dude too. I am kinda a weight bully though'' This content is protected
The version of Spence we've seen to this point would beat Ugas handily, might even stop him late. But as mentioned, who knows what he has left. An accident and surgery like he sustained can have late-arriving effects, and now with the eye. He'd better make his biggest fights now, because he's not going to be fighting at a high level in his late 30s.
spence beats the dog **** out of ugas. ugas should fight one of the up and comers. ortiz or boots. i expect crawford to go after him, its the easiest legacy fight for him. i think even taylor would give him a rough roll.
A lot of ya'll are forgetting something: that was Ugas first fight in like a year and he beat Pac easily He also beat Porter (even though the scorecards were rigged in Porters favor)
