He's a boring counter puncher but he's efficient at what he does which is land punches at one pace which he thinks is adequate enough to win. He makes Demetrius Andrade look like the most exciting boxer of all time.
I have to agree. Whilst I scored it 115-113 to Ugas - mostly based on his body shots obviously hurting Pac and that Ugas always was more 'in control' with Pac looking frustrated a lot due to not catching him clean - I could have seen the draw, or even a 115-113 win for Pac, simply because Ugas workrate was so ****-poor! I was screaming at him to up the tempo, and take Pac out - as the opportunity was there for all to see, but Ugas did what he felt was 'just enough' which ended up making the fight a close, competetive, but ultimately dull afafir.
Let’s be real here. Ugas is basic and that style doesn’t cut it at the higher echelons of the sport. At 35 himself and with that boring style he probably has only one big money fight left before fading into obscurity.
