http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-urgent-probe-sports-doping-allegations.html This doctor states he prescribed over 150 athletes with banned substanc s including a boxing champ anyone have a clue ?
Heh, not only Russia with a potentially serious drug problem. Worrying that UKAD basically wiped their hands with this and said it wasn't their responsibility
Funny how you guys presume it was a British Boxer. In the Times he quite clearly states the 150 are global so not just Brits
Dr Bonar also claims to have provided EPO, steroids and human growth hormones to a champion British boxer, British Tour de France cyclists, an English cricketer and some tennis players. http://www.joe.co.uk/sport/doctor-c...-for-****nal-chelsea-and-leicester-city/50094 Denial is a ***** I get it ..
That's a hard question, it's like asking witch American fighter is NOT on peds. The person saying Brook in this thread this whole doping story seems hard to believe but it is across the sporting spectrum and it seems a London problem if true Kell is from the north of England, believe it or not there is a massive North South divide in England both Humble and financialy, You walk down the street in Sheffield or Manchester and say hello to a stranger you get a hello and smile back, do the same in London you get told to F**k off.
British sport glory march started with the Olympic games over there. For example Bradley Wiggins won in the same year Paris-Nice, Critérium du Dauphiné, Tour de France and the Olympic time trails. It means that he had a peak form from early spring to late summer which is absolutely physiologically impossible. Andy Murray 2012 : 2012: US Open champion, Wimbledon runner-up and Olympic gold by far his best year also. I have no doubt that doping was a national politic over there for the Olympic games and they are ridding on it ever since. To single out Brook is a nice trolling attempt IMHO. It can be anyone I haven't seen anything about him that seems irregular he is a well schooled boxer with some pop.
How do you even know this guy is telling the truth? Who's to say hes not just telling people that hes prescribed banned substances to pro boxers and footballers to make himself sound like some underground big shot doc that deals with A listers so that other people will pay top money to buy his drugs. Hes clearly a shady character to even say what he said so take everything with a a pinch of salt.
Most elite fighters are on PEDs. Been saying this for years. Some of the elite fighters might not be on PEDs. There are a few fighters whose skills, style and physical attributes probably mean they wouldn't get much out of using drugs for boxing and have never been tempted to use them, but those would be a rare few. Also, while Tyson Fury is undoubtedly correct when he says people are trying to spike the food and water to get a positive test in case they need it to overturn a decision, the fact is many athletes who get "spiked" were using anyway. Even 1988 Ben Johnson was probably spiked. Although him and his coach admitted using steroids for years they've always said they weren't stupid enough to take Winstrol at that time to test positive. Everything about sport and drugs is crooked. The users, the cover ups, the positive tests, none of it can be trusted. It's all a racket.
I completely agree but I think that the stamina improvement is crucial for any style and for any sport. It kills me when people tell me something of the sort: In soccer PEDs are not so important is all about skill. Yeah easy to say, run the 90m pitch 40 times and show me your skill afterwards.
Do you think there aren't athletes doping in Manchester (national velodrome) or Sheffield (English Institute of Sport) because its a London thing only?
This is total *******s northerners spout. I lived in Manchester for 4 years and saw nothing of this super friendly neighbourliness that people from the city bang on about. I lived in several different parts of the city too and whilst making friends their found the notion that everyone loves strangers to be a total myth.
This is true, but some boxers fight very relaxed, expend less energy, and can get in shape to go 12 rounds easily. They need to get very fit but not as fit as the guys who fight high-energy. Then there's fighters like Fury, or the giant Valuev, who don't do an awful lot to tire the opponent out. Sure, PEDs will aid everyone, but there are a few who wouldn't get as much so perhaps wouldn't risk getting caught breaking the rules.
