UK fans. If Klitschko defeats Haye you can't have it both ways.

Dropped by just above average Mormeck, in one of the most overrated wins by a British fighter I can think of.

The Cruiserweight division wasn't even that good when Haye was there.

Then why do most who participated in the British forum pick Haye to win?

It's funny, just as the fight approaches, people suddenly saying Haye is really a blown up cruiser. That way, Haye is still a great fighter but if Wlad beats him with ease, it doesn't mean much.

    Brilliantly done.

It's somewhere in between for me, I think he's probably better than most contenders but still a level down from the Klitschko brothers. It will be a very good win for Wlad but not "career defining".

Wladimir has to be respected, i don't care what anybody say's.

He's clearly above and beyond anybody else in the division (barr his brother, but we won't go there). People will say his win over Haye was an easy win because Haye was a blown up Cruiser, he wasn't that good, etc etc... Which i agree with tbh, i don't see this fight as dangerous as people are making out. Chagev was a bit more dangerous in my opinion.

The problem is, no matter who Wlad wins, or how he win's people will alway's say "but the division was **** at the time". True, and that's all you can judge a fighter on, but it'd be intresting to put him in another era. He'd be beat by the likes of Lewis, Fraizer, Foreman, Ali, etc but it'd be intresting to see how much of a fight he put up

Thanks. Yes--the stories are already starting to change before punch number one is thrown.

As a visitor to this part of Eastside boxing, I want to wish Haye and his fans good luck. We have quite an event to look forward to. Boxing can be a great sport when the right matches are made.

Wow, what a surprise. There are some people that are biased towards their 'home' fighter.

Because, of course, you didn't debate for 100+ pages on the virtues of Vitali beating Joe Louis or whatnot, did you?

I try to separate what I think and who I root for in polls. I don't frequent this forum very often, but I do read some stuff here when Hatton, or Kahn have a big match scheduled to get a different perspective.

i honestly think the british fans underestimate haye, most i talk too dismiss haye,i think the majority on the brit forum do as well.
me im going for haye in the 5th,i think he is fast and can hit hard,i don't think he will be scared to death like the majority of klits oppornents are, backing off and waiting to be jabbed for 12 boring rounds.
    in my eyes,its a 50/50 fight.:good

You cannot compare eras. People are naturally bigger now than 30 years ago. If a 6ft6 guy came into a gym they wouldn't get trained properly until Lewis came along.

Go to a Ukrainian website and see if anyone if picking Haye?

Some will say the same about Wlad. His chin is not exactly made from Iron and Haye is not exactly feather fisted.

half the reason people over here (uk + ireland) are backing haye so much is sky sports news telling them how great haye is and what a great chance he has and "book now and dont miss the great moment in british sport"...this is the same sky thats trying to flog you the fight at 15 quid a pop, of course they are trying to big their product up as much as possible.
what has haye done to date so far to point to as evidence that he's got the goods to beat wlad ??
haye, or sky, wont be to disapointed at the loss though, they will all walk away quids in...haye and his team, although beaten, will be partying next week as happy rich people
