That's an excellent list. I think Berg and Moran could be a little higher and ive not studied the lowesr reaches in depth, but that top 8 is, imo, the best I can recall.
I remember regularly British title fights produced some classics and they often went 15 rounds too. British boxing is weaker today because they all think they can chase world titles and they give up the British title to fight for qualifying minor international something titles that no one knows just to get ranking in a world sanctioning list. I saw a photo of Moses Itauma with two huge belts draped over him. No idea what titles they are or what it means.
Even if you don't consider Fitzsimmons as British, I'd argue Wilde is greater than TKL. I consider Fitzsimmons British, so him and Wilde are the clear all time #1 and #2 for me.
Just a few more to add to an impressive list Tancy Lee Peter Keenan Johnny King Dave Crowley Eric Boon Ernie Roderick Jack Hood Dave 'Boy' Green
Hi Buddy. Very good list with some excellent fighters, might I add Dave Charnley, the Dartford Destroyer, a candidate for uncrowned champ in most people's eyes. stay safe scart, chat soon. Mike.
Mike, Charnley would have normally been right there on my list but @Gudetama had already named him on his list and I was trying for those not named. I know there's more that we're missing but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
