Lennox Lewis deserves to be on the list as he became undisputed heavyweight champion.

David Haye also became undisputed cruiserweight champion. Winning the WBA, WBC, WBO, Ring Magazine titles, then stepping up to heavy and winning the WBA.

Joe Calzaghe won WBA, WBO, IBF, WBC, Ring Magazine, title (and was WBO champion for 10 years)

This is more than what Carl Froch and Amir Khan have done with their careers. Carl Froch never really became undisputed super middle-weight champion.

People argue that Froch has a better resume, yes He beat Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham, Bute, Kessler. Is that much better than Calzaghe's Kessler (undefeated), Eubank, Roy Jones JR, Hopkins, Jeff Lacy (undefeated at the time and when Lacy was the second coming according to Americans)??

Lewis, Froch & Hatton - Lewis has a great resumé and gained revenge on anybody who beat him. Froch lost to Ward who was the best in the division at the time but gained revenge against Kessler who is also a good fighter. Hatton was beaten by Mayweather and Pacquiao who were supposedly the best in the world and then went downhill, but did the right thing and stopped before he became a Roy Jones, Jr. If Khan beats Canelo, I will not only include him on this list but I will sell my house and donate the funds to charity. Calzaghe, while I consider really good, doesn't really have the best resumé, but I truly think that he possibly was one of, if not, the best at that sorta weight while he was around but just wasn't tested fully.

    Sorry dudes, but it's

    -Lewis

    -Froch

    -Khan

Best pure pugilists who face the stiffest competition

These three great Brit boxers get knighted by the Queen and set-up with fat Brit Cayman Island accounts

Carl Froch is not a future hall of famer, IMO
Naseem Hamed is already in HOF, and a worthy HOF.
Amir Khan is going to be an ATG when he wins the MW crown.

Beating an undefeated fighter doesn't get you extra brownie points in my opinion. Also what a fighter goes on to do after a loss can effect the weight that fighters name puts on the resume of the person who beat them. In this case it hurts Joes quite a bit. Also when your entire resume consists of a hyperjob and a bunch of over the hill old people it starts to lose credibility.

    Lewis
    Calzaghe
    Naseem
    Froch
    Hatton

You must have forgotten, SIR Amir Khan! The Queen very much liked those Golden $50,000 trunks. They matched her crown. :smoke

True, but if Khan wins it, there he has a ticket to the palace, on his knees to get knighted and clearly pushes Calzaghe out of the picture. :yep

ROFLMAO Both Hopkins & Jones put Slappy Calzaghe on his ass . If you REALLY think Calzaghe beat Hopkins then you don't need to be in a boxing forum. Calzaghe is incapable of throwing a legitimate scoring punch :patsch:patsch
