Yeah we seem to be getting alot of bad card over here and its pretty embarrassing really. I just dont get this notion of when 'its a what you like kind of fight'. That just shouldn't be a factor. If a guy is winning, a guy is winning, it doesnt matter what syle he is using and judges should always remain objective. Its just a cop out for bad cards.
Exactly you could theoretically have a fight like malinaggi who wasn’t biggest puncher in with a lucas matthessee type brawler big ko artist. Malinaggi could use jab all round good defence but Matthesse lands 1 maybe 2 hard shots but is gettin outlanded by lots jabs but the judges like come forward aggressive style even tho he is clearly losing round. For Ritson fight I wanted him to win but had him 7-5 down and TBf could even been 8-4 down Thought Patera boxed beautifully if he had a slight bit more power he was stopping him punch variety was class
Bakole was level on 2 cards and down by 1 point on another going into the 10th round. This was in a fight that he was down 9-0 to 8-1 in rounds. No wonder Hunter went for the KO. He knew he needed his fists to do the judging.
That is absolutely bizarre ...Can you imagine Bakole actually won that last round and won the fight??
I've mentioned it a 1000 times already, and I keep mentioning it. The UK and the US are the worst when it comes to "incompetent" (absolutely partial) scorecards and refereeing, for quite a while now. And both keep pointing fingers to other countries trying to deflect the attention. You don't want to fight an American in the US, and you don't want to fight a Brit in the UK, unless you're positive that you can knock the focker out.
I think the judging in the UK is really poor. Well I think it's a worldwide issue. Even foreign judges often struggle here, I don't know if the noise puts them off, maybe thinking punches that are blocked are landing because of huge cheers from the crowd. Obviously such instances will favour the home fighter.
