Taken from the freedom of information section of their site. I wonder which two fighters that would be? Edit: Updated to include link - http://ukad.org.uk/assets/uploads/FOI/2016/08/FOI-105.pdf
Maybe it is Tyson Fury and his dodgy back.. would the other be Hughie Fury? Who was the famous champion boxer and all that from years ago? I don't see a difference in using PEDs anyway.. accidents usually happen anyway because of prolonged beatings.. PEDs would just shorten fights..
Interesting. I'm sure I've looked in to all this before and names were available for recent findings, then wiped after a couple of years.
Found it - http://ukad.org.uk/anti-doping-rule-violations/current-violations/search&category=521 Only two current sanctions for pro boxers apparently, Jonathan Slowey and Jez Wilson. Three amateur boxers on the list, two of which on a lifetime ban!
UKAD might as well pack up. 2 positives out of 323 tests. That's pathetic. There's something wrong with that picture.
Waste of an organisation! There are loads of boxers on stuff but nothing done about it. Might as well make it all legal whatever they have and let them get on with it.
Yep. If they can only catch and penalize 2 out of 323 tests what's the point ? Unless you believe UKAD's testing regime is such an effective deterrent they've made all but 2 of the boxers stay clean, the only logical explanation is they are useless.
No idea, nothing has officially been said. Neither has fought for over a year though so, make of that what you will
Nope. I can assure you if they were both cleared then they would be shouting from the rooftops telling the whole world about how they are innocent and how they have been 'victimised' for their traveler roots. They have done no such thing. It is important to also see that the 2 boxers listed failed their tests in 2015. Both the Fury's initial tests were in Feb 2015 although the charges against them, due to legal wranglings, were not disclosed until summer 2016. Tyson Furys other various failed tests and rufusals to be tested happened later in 2016, so I wouldn't expect the Furys bans to be showing up on the website for a long time yet. Especially as they have gagging orders and various injunctions out to stop the bans being reported, due to Tysons 'mental health issues' and 'suicidal thoughts'.
This is interesting. You keep mentioning this. Can you provide some details of how you know all this. I mean, how did you find out about the gagging orders and various injunctions ?
