I think this is gonna be a fight of back and forth action. I like both fighters, but I think Solis is gonna get Viloria first. Solis by late KO unless Viloria improves his stamina.

i have solis taking this one by big scores. solis is too slick, too sharp, too quick, too motivated, too well trained and together for a viloria who, in my opinion, has never gotten fully off the rocks he hit in 2005. solis is going to work viloria on the inside with those quick hands to the body that lead to the uppercut then jab him off balance every time viloria tries to load up a shot...in this way, solis will leave viloria with the bad options of ceasing his desperate attacks or throwing them wildly and getting a hook to the ribcage or noggin for his trouble as solis is on his way out of the punch's path.

when brian viloria was cruising toward stardom, he looked like the next big-little thing...then it all came undone. i thought the writing was on the wall after viloria fough jose antonio aguirre in 2005. aguirre was, by that point, over the hill and slowing down big-time. viloria should have steamrolled him, but, instead, came away with a relatively close decision that really could have gone either way. viloria just couldn't pull the trigger or put his moves together. then came the fights with romero (two losses, though one changed to a no decision because romero failed a questionable post fight drug test) and the loss to sosa that was way, way clearer than the majority decision verdict indicates. viloria has never looked his former, jaw cracking, smooth operating former self again after those four fights. he looks like he lost something in those two years that is lost for good now. solis, on the other hand, hasn't lost anything and continues to look like a top fighter...accordingly, he cruises past the ghost of brian viloria.

wow. surprised there is so little interest in this fight. or did i make a booboo and do a repost? hmm...
also, i heard nonito might be pulling out of his fight with martinez. any truth to that?
if his fight is cancelled, will the rest of the card stilltake place?
    am i completely alone here?
    hello?
    anyone out there?

i hope viloria would get his "fire" back and put a stop to the pinoy assassin's rampage. right now, it doesn't look that good but viloria in his last couple of fights racked-up some wins. i don't know if this would be enough to bring his confidence back. in his fight with edgar sosa, he was just too trigger-shy to win that fight and against someone like ulises solis, he better prepares to fight fire with fire if he wants this fight badly.

viloria, if he keeps on punching. brian has the tendency to stop punching like what he did in the romero and sosa fights. if he keeps himself busy, i can see him winning a UD.
