Its not the heart that's the problem but the psyche. He almost killed Ruben Contreras after a brutal 6 rounds and from that time on, he became very tentative offensively. Viloria has the right tools, very technically sound fromn having extensive amateur background (defeated BOTH donaire brothers) plus the fact that he has KO power. Anyone who has those can not be counted out. In all his losses, it was not becase he was outclassed but rather because he seldom throws anything, sort of gun-shy.

If Glenn Donaire had very respectable showing against Solis, I do not see why Viloria won't and an upset is very possible. It depends on who shows up during the fight - is it the Viloria pre-contreras or post-contreras?

    hahaha....are you just guessing?
    ilocano? or ilokano?
i should learn this stuff since im half and all.
anyway, i guess he was born in the pi but thought he was raised solely in hawaii. therefore, grew up speaking english exclusively.
but then again, where we grew up was as close to the philipines as you can get i suppose so maybe he does speak it a bit.

oh yeah, my dog is full blooded dog but i cant understand **** she or other dogs says.

ilocano or ilocano...it means the same thing in the philippines. have you watched all the title fights of viloria? he put the us and philippine flag in his shorts..

point is, viloria would have the support of 99% of the crowd...and close rounds would favor the viloria

honestly, i noticed him suddenly become filipino in the immediate aftermath of the ortiz fight on manny's undercard. prior, he was just another asian dude from hawaii. clever, them marketing guys.
the hawaiian punch also suddenly became the 'pinoy' punch.
    you didnt catch that?

so what are you trying to say? better make a new thread on that. the thread is all about viloria-solis. and viloria would have the filipino support come his next fight and it would make an impact on the scorecards of the judges.

lol. i haven't heard pinoys calling him "the pinoy punch". he's always been "the hawaiian punch". pinoys gave him their support in his fight with omar and sosa but viloria failed to impress most of them. it's ok to lose if you gave it all but to lose like he did is too frustrating. in his upcoming fight, i'm sure he will have the local crowd support inspite of his past debacles.

i actually think donaire will grossly under-perform in his match, whereas brian will do much better than expected. hes hungry for the spotlight again and he knows this could be the fight that puts the final nail in the coffin. i expect to see the old aggression come out of him because hes fighting for the life of his career.

the solis doesnt have good footwork....brian had to exert extra effort in catching sosa and romero. but solis' style is suited for viloria. solis would always be infront of him making him easy to hit. and that style of fights always lead to close rounds...close rounds go to the hometown guy

Anybody know what else will be on the card? I assume we're talking about Arum's Global Domination card.

Theyre gonna feature a couple of young local fighters. Not really world beaters yet. Decent enough watch, I guess.

    Denver Cuello

    Sonny Boy Jaro

sonny boy jaro is not a huge puncher but is was able to knock down edgar sosa in one of his defenses in his home country...

jaro would be facing countryman from a rival stable in yuka gejon...gejon was favored to beat roman gonzales but gonzales KO yuka in round 1 on his way to fame.

Denver Cuello (15-2-1) and Sonny Boy Jaro (29-7-5) round out the card eh?

Sounds alright I guess....but seriously how does one go about getting 5! draws?
