Minimal strikes landed in that first round.
Stewart's take down defense is fairly disappointing. He can't avoid the clinch to save his life either.
Still a major issue in English MMA.
smh, Stewart is clearly the more athletic and explosive of the two, but it's taking him two rounds to start letting the hands go.
if he's able to separate himself from the clinch, he needs to stand in and let the hands go.
Blew his chance. Shahbazyan was there for the taking for a few moments.
10-9 Stewart. Nearly a 10-8 but think he was controlled too much that round despite hurting Shahbazyan to get the 10-8. 29-28 Shahbazyan
He was done and fighting on instinct. Stewart would have finished him off had he picked his shots better.
29-28 Shahbazyan, 29-28 Stewart and 29-28 Shahbazyan. Shahbazyan wins via SD. No idea what the judge who scored it for Stewart was watching.
Pedro Munhoz vs. Bryan Caraway - 3 rounds at Bantamweight
Questionable win. Looked like Caraway took a cup shot in the finish and 10-15 seconds prior. Should probably appeal that.
Macy Chiasson vs. Pannie Kianzad - 3 rounds at Women's Featherweight for the season 28 Women's Feather Ultimate Fighter.
