Keeping ESB up to date ... -Jeremy Horn loses to Dean Lister via guilotine. Not surprising. Good performance by Lister. -Matt Brown was impressive in stopping Aroyo in the second.
All I know, when Dana came on to give the big crap about July 19th I turned it off. I have gone back, but it hasn't been to good of a card. I don't knoww, maybe Dana just drives me crazy. So please, just STFU Dana
I was actually inspired by Tanner's effort - on my card he won the last round. He was actually landing! The split decision was definitely generous to Tanner, but hey, he was tough, as always. Grove looked good, too. :hi:
My thoughts.... - I'm EXTREMELY happy that I was wrong with my prediction and Amir won TUF 7. I honestly didn't believe that Dollaway could possibly be ignorant enough to leave himself hanging like that again... yet he did. Clearly, arrogance does go before the fall. It's also nice to see Amir not get messed up on the way to victory - it's like watch Arturo Gatti go ten rounds and not bleed. Sweet. - Tanner... Horn... Eastman... I expect them to be the next in line to get cut by Dana White. Tanner's lack of a decent striking game will always be a huge problem - and it doesn't matter what his opponent's reach is. Like with Horn, it's obvious that too many battles (in and out of the octagon) have caught up to him. It'll suck to see Tanner and Horn go out like this, but I think it's for the best. - It was painfully clear that Matt Brown had no business at 185. He's not the most skilled guy in the world, but with a good chin and the quickness 170 gives him, he could be a tough stepping stone fighter for years to come. - I wanna see Spencer Fisher fight every time they have a show on Spike - he's a guaranteed great fight. - Don't know what all was going on with Tim Credeur (my second favorite from TUF 7), but it doesn't sound heinous, since he informed the the commission days before the fight that he'd taken the drug. I wanted to see him fight, so it sucks. - Dustin Hazelett intrigues me. He's still only 21 years old. - Matt Riddle also intrigues me. - Luigi Fiorvanti is the Arturo Gatti of the UFC (kind of).
