Just watched the fight on YouTube. Aldo pretty much dominated. He killed him with leg kicks!! Landed some hard shots to the head and brookins took em well for 2 rounds. He only attempted two takedowns and got one with the lateral throw that he's used on the show. Like you said though, he made it to the third round with him, which is tuff. Hope he wins the show!

Series has been more interesting to me than the last few seasons, which I paid little attention to at all.

I think it's because I like watching GSP conduct himself.

GSP is the epitome of what MMA should be all about with his zen-like approach to everything and the respect he shows the sport by restraining himself from violence or confrontation from Koscheck's deliberate attempts to irk him.

Koscheck on the other hand is the finest example of an MMA punk you could find (way too many of them in the UFC, which is why I find it hard to be a major fan). He virtually admitted he's only doing the sport so he can call himself a fighter and appear tough when he was ragging on that non-fighter on GSP's team for being a male nurse. He even put his hands on the said male nurse after he couldn't hack the trash talk he received back regarding his faking/diving in the Paul Daley fight.

Then he started crying like a *****, ludicrously claiming that it was all GSPs fault, that having the male nurse was a conspiracy to get on his nerves. Nevermind Koscheck was the one who tried bullying the guy to appear tough. He sure can dish it, but, like the true ***** his is, he can't take it. And the guy just lays on top of most of his opponents when he fights. Definately nothing to brag about. He is more wrestler than fighter.

I hope GSP gives him the beating of his life and humbles this *****.

Nam Phan is a cut above alot of these guys. He can take a much better shot and has good power. You know, conditioning makes a big difference. You see this kid running every day. Also he's a nice guy outside the cage but look at his eyes when it's time to fight.

He has heavy hands and can take a good shot and has very good stamina.

Yeah, he's in great shape and keeps coming, but he was losing that fight fight until the guy broke his hand. Also he got GNP'ed a bit in the first round last night by a guy that doesn't have much for strength or technique. Solid guy but I don't think he'll win the show and/or go very far in the UFC.

I can agree with this. But I like the kids attitude.

Nam Phan certainly has the right attitude. The assholes who were sitting around laughing at him doing his roadwork certainly do not. I'd like to see him and that Brookins guy make the final and each get a contract. But we'll probably see Dana sign dickheads like "little Koscheck" Marc Stevens and that big headed chainsmoking chump Jeff Lentz instead.

I mean athletically he is nothing too special. He has heavy hands, he's tough, he has good conditioning but he doesn't have speed and explosiveness. He is a grinder. Those guys are rarely made to go all the way you know what I mean? Yea he got pounded a little but it's a 2 rounds fight, not 1.

You know, if the other guy injured his leg or hand or whatever, then he is more brittle. That's part of the sport too.
