I heard Hamill fought with a staph infection on his back. I know **** all about staph infections but isn't that dangerous or something?

Shouldn't I have 19 points? 7 for Hamill, 4 for McGee in addition to the 8 I had.

My picks haven't been that great the last 2 events. I have to look for every point I can.

Do the math again. Without the point deduction it would have been 29-28 twice and 28-29 for Jardine. A split decision instead of a majority one. Didn't make any difference in the outcome.

Jardine has no one but himself to blame for losing that fight. He was clearly the more skilled guy in the first and Hamill's supposed advantage in takedowns didn't mean a thing in the end. Jardine gassed and Hamill was there to capitalize. I expect Jardine to get fed a steady diet of guys making their UFC debuts. Too bad Hamill broke his hand or he'd probably be getting Bader or someone like that next.

The judges scored the contest 29-27, 29-28 and 28-28.

Judge 1 - two rounds to one with a point off = 29-28 Hamil

Judge 2 - A round each and a drawn round, give Jardine back a point = 28-28 Draw

Judge 3 - Two rounds to Jardine, one to Hamil = 28-29 Jardine.

    That's a draw.

Hey, I've already called the "my score is only low because I didn't pick in every event" excuse.

Regarding Hamill and Jardine, I like how Hamill utilized his jab. This was unnoticed by the commentators. Hamill's jab was not aesthetically pleasing, but it was effective for this fight. Hamill began landing it in the first, though he clearly lost the round. Hamill used the jab to disrupt Jardine's attacks in the 2nd, and used it to get close and do some damage. The 3rd round was close. I thought Hamill did enough early to win it, but wouldn't call you crazy for disagreeing.
